Speaking of power couples, shout out to The Netherlands for electing their first Gay Prime Minister last month 🇳🇱🏳️‍🌈! Rob Jetten is not only the first Gay Prime Minister in the countries history, he also became the youngest elected at age 38. His loving boyfriend is Pro Field Hockey player and Olympian Nico Keenan, and this union and landmark win marks a huge shift for progression in Europe. Shout out to all the LGBTQAI people in Europe, this is one for the books ❤️🤍💙🌈

YouTube can really be frustrating at times, and I see why other creators go to Patreon, and I may have to soon. Whenever I post a video that I know is likely going to be popular, for some reason, like today, YouTube likes to say that video (on certain meters) is not getting views. But on other meters it is getting viewed. I've noticed this only rarely happens when I know video is a popular topic. This never seems to happen on a video I don't think is a popular topic and will likely do less numbers, it's ONLY the topics I'm certain are popular. Which makes me think somehow this platform is skewing my most popular videos. I've reached out via Email, but I want to be more transparent, because I've actually seen this happen to other creators, even pop stars (especially black ones). Just wanted to let you all know about some of the setbacks many of us creators go through. Thank you all so much for watching and supporting! -Lenworth

Though I usually focuses on uplifting topics for Black Gay Men in my videos, I do read negative headlines sometimes that I think we as a community should know about. I've read on the website Erasing 76 Crimes several disturbing headlines about gay men being unalived in various countries around the world and one of those headlines is about Andrei Kotov being unalived in a Russian Prison for "Extreme LGBT Terrorism". According to 76 crimes, Kotov led a travel agency that subtly catered to gay men, and last November he was arrested on terrorism charges. He was in prison for only a month when he supposedly took his own life which is clearly Russian BS. He was severely beaten several times and was continually pressured to confess to gay extremism which he never did.

Not only is the loss of life of a gay businessman always saddening, Russia terrifies me for their unrelenting hunting of their LGBTQAI community, especially considering that many African nations are eying Russia as future allies. This is terrifying because many Africans somehow believe that since Russia wasn't as big of a player in African colonialism and the Atlantic slave trade, that they would be worthy allies. Yet anyone with sense knows that Russia has been extremely racist to black tourists, so there is no way that black people, especially Black LGBTQAI people can delude ourselves to believe that the Russian government would ever be true ally's to black people. We mourn the death of another gay leader, and I again think its time we in the global LGBTQAI community close ranks and keep our awareness on alert and stay vigilant.

Blessed Ramadan to all my LGBTQIA Muslims this month! While this time is supposed to be a time of prayer, fasting, celebration and reflection for Muslims, it was not lost on me that last month in February, the world lost a great leader for Muslim tolerance and gay rights, Muhsin Hendricks, who the world celebrated as the first openly gay Imam who came out in 1996 and began leading very liberal spiritual practices including gay Muslim marriages and interfaith weddings, a taboo for most Imams. I hope that we in this season can mourn and celebrate his incredible legacy advocating for the rights of LGBTQ Muslims, and truly all LGBTQ people. When I was younger I was astounded by his story watching the documentary "A Jihad for love", where he courageously embarked on his Hajj, his journey to Mecca in Saudi Arabia and recorded his journey, knowing that many Muslim leaders didn't want him there. Even in his last moments in South Africa, he was performing an interfaith wedding for a heterosexual couple right before his life was taken. I hope that my Muslim watchers or those who grew up in Muslim households find solace knowing that despite these setbacks and harm that comes to our community, more LGBTQ Muslims are coming together and worshiping despite some religious leaders trying to keep us restricted and afraid. I hope that despite the sad news, we remember that many of our LGBTQAI Muslim ancestors lived their best life in their time, and they, including Hendricks would want us to continue to grow and love each other. Peace

Rest in Peace Sam Nordquist. We are living in perilous times and if you didn't know, this channel is a Trans inclusive space. Now I'm not the perfect trans ally, I'm sure I make mistakes, but I'm learning and trying, and if you are OK with trans hate, or non binary hate, please exit this space. Sam Nordquist was brutally tortured and unalived just because he was Trans, and now more than ever, black gay and bisexual men need to use our privilege to speak up for our Trans brethren. Luckily in this instance, the psychopaths who did this have been arrested and are being tried, but violence against Trans people is an epidemic and we cant afford to be silent. If you have questions about trans people and their experiences, google is free, its right there and there are so many amazing Trans activists and influencer's sharing their experiences online like Kat Blaque and Kayden Coleman. Do the research, learn about other peoples experiences that differ from your own and the world will be a better place
