Unessential Oils is a new project by Warren Spicer, singer of the Montreal band Plants and Animals. The project is inspired by jazz and folk, Tropicália, Jorge Ben, Daniel Lanois, Miles Davis and more. The music was all conceived while bathing. It is very open and malleable, and has been compared to Alabaster DePlume, Connan Mockasin, Hermanos Gutiérrez and Devendra Banhart.
