‪@annkur‬ points to the recent news: "Gujarat doctor loses Rs 19 crore in 3 months in digital arrest scam. A senior doctor in Gandhinagar was digitally arrested and defrauded of Rs 19 crore over three months by scammers impersonating officials."

And explains how this is a perfect example of authority bias: "It amazes me how this digital arrest works. Classic case of authority bias? As children we were threatened with bhoot aa jayega, police aa jayega, daaku aa jaayega, it seems, grownups forgot to give up the fear for authority."

We've talked about the "Beauty Premium"—how attractive people have many advantages in life. But usually, this happens subconsciously. But here it is blatant!!
