I’m absolutely shocked and at a complete loss for words. But my short film SOLITA just won the Audience Award at its latest screening at the Tara Theatre hosted by the Atlanta Film Society!!! Comes with a $100 prize and 2 all access passes to the Atlanta Film Festival ! Can’t thank the staff and the audience members who attended the screening enough! Including Gen, Jon Devlin and Jonathan Williams ! Y’all are awesome and I’m so grateful for everyone’s enthusiasm and support! ❤️🥰

SOLITA, the psychological horror short I made with a micro crew of three, is still finding ways to make waves in the Atlanta film community! Words can’t describe how excited I am to announce that Solita has been selected to screen at Atlanta Film Festival ‘s LOCALS ONLY film festival hosted by Atlanta Film Society at the Tara Theatre on November 21st at 7:00PM! The movie is two years old and is still giving me huge opportunities to meet other talented filmmakers in my community and be screened alongside their work! Yesterday, I was invited by film teacher Joseph Fouts to visit his class at Etowah High School! He wanted me to speak about my filmmaking journey so far and break down the dream sequence in my film The Red Egg shot for shot. In doing this, I discussed my intentions behind every shot while also speaking about my experience, challenges and constraints on set. I’ve never done anything like this before so it was a bit nerve wracking. But ultimately I found it to be an incredibly rewarding experience to be able to hopefully educate and inspire future Georgia filmmakers! I still have so much to learn about production and the art of filmmaking and I found this to likewise be a learning experience for myself! Can’t thank Joseph enough for the opportunity! 🎥 🍿

So I am shocked and incredibly grateful to announce that THE RED EGG has just won Best Latin Film at the 10th Annual Cobb International Film Festival ! I can’t thank the festival staff and judges enough for not only screening my film alongside so many impressive films from Georgia and around the world, but also honoring me with an award for such a weird movie. It’s truly an honor thank you! And shout out to Marlana Goecks for showing support and being there to represent a film that she offered her talent, time and labor for!
