The House of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) | Where the Hijrah to Madinah Started | Makkah Historical Landmark

This site is considered one of the most important historical landmarks connected to the Prophetic biography (Seerah). It stands on the historical location of the house of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (رضي الله عنه).
In the courtyard of this house, Abu Bakr (RA) established a place for prayer before the Hijrah. The site became known in historical sources as the Mosque (or Prayer Hall) of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, in reference to the ownership of the house and its location.
The historical significance of this site lies in its role as the House of the Hijrah. After the Prophet ﷺ stood at Al-Hazurah to bid farewell to Makkah, he proceeded to the house of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (RA), whom he chose as his companion on the journey of migration. From this house, they set out together to Ghar Thawr (Cave of Thawr), marking the beginning of the Hijrah to Madinah.
A beautiful reminder of loyalty, sacrifice, and the start of a new chapter in Islamic history. May Allah be pleased with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (RA) and grant us the ability to follow his footsteps.
Location: Makkah Al-Mukarramah (near the area of Ajyad / south of Masjid Al-Haram, in the vicinity of modern developments like Makkah Towers area).
