GADGETS ONE MALAYALAM TECH TIPS

Welcome to The Weekend Debate!

Let's talk about something many of us still miss: the simple, classic headphone jack. Remember when every single phone had one?

The companies say: They removed it to make phones thinner, add better water resistance, and make space for bigger batteries. They call it progress.

But many users say: It was a big mistake. It forces us to use dongles or buy expensive wireless headphones that need to be charged all the time.

Years after it was removed from most phones, the debate is still alive. So, what is your final verdict? Ee theerumanam sheriyano thettano? (Was this decision right or wrong?)

Welcome to Myth Buster Monday!

Let's talk about a big one you've probably experienced. You are just talking about something with a friend – like planning a trip to Goa – and a few minutes later, you see an ad for hotels in Goa on Instagram.

This makes many people believe a huge tech myth: that our phones are always listening to our real-life conversations to target us with ads.

So, what do you think is the truth? Ithu sathyamano atho thettidhaaranayano? (Is this true or a misconception?)

GADGETS ONE MALAYALAM TECH TIPS

Welcome to Fact Friday!

We all use webcams for video calls, meetings, and streaming, right?

But have you ever wondered how the VERY FIRST webcam was invented?

The reason is pretty funny.

It was invented in 1991 by scientists who had one important job for it: to watch a coffee pot!

It's a true story.

Researchers at a university were tired of walking to the kitchen just to find the coffee pot empty.

So, they pointed a camera at it and wrote a special program so they could see the live picture on their computers from their desks.

This was the world's first webcam!

Oru coffee pot-inu vendi oru kandupidutham! (An invention for the sake of a coffee pot!)

Now, a question for you:

What is the main reason you use a webcam or video call for?
Is it for your job, for online classes, or for talking with family and friends?

Let me know in the comments!

GADGETS ONE MALAYALAM TECH TIPS

ThrowbackThursday 📱✨

Before iPhones and Android, Nokia N-series was the ultimate flex. If you had one, you were living the dream.

The N95 was pure magic — a dual slider, music on one side, keypad on the other, plus a solid camera that felt like a mini computer.

The N73 was all about music + photos, with that iconic camera cover making you feel like a pro.

And then the N8 — legendary. A 12MP camera with Xenon flash that made night photography shine before smartphones caught up.

These weren’t just phones… they were part of our life and memories.
Nammude oru kaalathe ishtam ❤ (Our love from a bygone era!)

👉 Did you own one of these classics? Which N-series was your favorite?

GADGETS ONE MALAYALAM TECH TIPS

Hey Guy's! For this week's #TechTipTuesday, let's create a time-saving shortcut on the most popular keyboard: Gboard!

Tired of typing your full email? Let's make a shortcut for it in under 30 seconds.

Here's the super easy 5-step way:

1. Open your keyboard anywhere (like in a chat).

2. Tap the settings icon ⚙️ on top of the keyboard.

3. Go to Dictionary.

4. Tap Personal Dictionary, then choose your language.

5. Hit the + icon in the top corner to add your new shortcut!

For example:

In the top box, type the full phrase: my.cool.email@gmail.com

In the "Shortcut" box, type the short-code: eml

Boom! Now every time you type eml, your full email will pop up. What a time-saver!

What's the first useful shortcut you're going to create? Share your ideas in the comments!

GADGETS ONE MALAYALAM TECH TIPS

Hello everyone,

It's not just about gadgets, but the giants who build the tech empires behind them. This week, Oracle's founder Larry Ellison made headlines, and his story is incredible.

He co-founded Oracle in 1977, and this week, at 81 years old, he saw his wealth increase by over $100 billion in 24 hours. This happened because the company he built is now a dominant force in the AI revolution. From a college dropout to becoming the world's richest person, it's a truly remarkable journey in tech.

What do you think is the key to that kind of long-term success?
