Cruising Odd at Sea

It's difficult to describe, (and tell in the pics) but we were hit by a rain-wrapped EF-2 tornado yesterday between 5:30 and 6:30 PM. We're relieved to report that despite enduring 7-foot waves while tied to the dock, and even as the dock separated from the marina, we made it out safely. There's significant destruction around town, but thankfully, all reports indicate there have been no casualties.

We feel immense gratitude to be safe and to have sustained minimal damage to our vessel. However, more storms are on the horizon. Please send positive thoughts to everyone working to rebuild—we all need a break. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the first responders and linemen who are tirelessly restoring power and ensuring community safety.

While this has been a terrifying and devastating experience, it's also been incredibly moving to see the community come together to clean, rebuild, and support each other. Our thoughts are with those in neighboring counties under tornado watches tonight. We hope everyone across the country and the world has a peaceful and safe night.🙏🏼

Cruising Odd at Sea

We’ve been busy busy here at Odd at Sea and although I said I would NEVER download TikTok, here we are…

Things are moving a lot quicker here than we originally planned.

Our cruise schedule/deadline has come quicker than expected.

We don’t have our plans set in stone just yet as things have been quickly changing overnight. I don’t want to speak on anything too soon but due to unforeseen circumstances and things making an unexpected change in our favor, our vessel will soon be in a new environment giving us opportunity for new adventures!

In the next 3 months or so we will be surrounded by beautiful beaches in a more southern region of the Texas coast. We might even start living on anchor within the next 6 months to a year!

Exciting things are happening and I can’t wait to announce all of the obstacles that currently stand in our way and how we will overcome them!

No more manually sucking out leaking shower water from our bilge!!!

Next project, is to replace our aft/back window with one that can open and allow for more airflow. 😆

I LOVE my new inner strength necklace from ‪@adventurecrews‬! When I saw Emily wearing it in one of their videos I loved it. But when I read the card I bawled and knew I had to have it! 💙⚓️
