Hi, I'm Josh. I make music and talk about how I do that here.

As my alias Luo, since 2012 I've gigged with bands and artists including Venetian Snares, Death Grips, Battles, Mammal Hands & Delta Sleep, and am probably best-known in the UK Experimental Music scene. I grew up on IDM & Breakcore, Drum 'n Bass & Jungle, Dubstep, Jazz Fusion & Prog/Post/Math-Rock, later Djent & Metalcore, too. I like niche, experimental music that strives to push boundaries.

Mentored by mix engineer Chris Allen & with experience mixing professionally for artists such as RY X, Calibre and others on Polydor, Sony BMG and more, I also have a degree in Sound Design.

I produce & release my own music independently and aim to help others do the same thing, or just provide some practical tips & insights that I would've found really helpful as a DIY musician when I was starting out - including creative sound design techniques and fun ways to make cool sounds in unusual genres that don't get talked about much.
