This delightful adaptation of the classic fable, preserved in the Library of Congress archives, is now in the public domain and delivers a timeless lesson on hard work and initiative.

ASHLAND, MA — The annual Illuminate Downtown Ashland event on Saturday, December 13, 2025, successfully transformed the downtown area, bringing art, music, and community spirit to local businesses. Eleven businesses and organizations — including the Federated Church, The Bagel Table, and Needham Bank — opened their doors to host the performances, community art displays, and special acts that defined the evening. The event was a collaborative effort led by Annemarie's Dance Centre, the Town of Ashland, and Arts! Ashland Alliance.
