I’m Francisco, a beginner learning in public. I test astro myths and gear so you don’t waste clear nights. Expect real-sky experiments with side-by-sides, fair rules (same target, same night), no hype, just data. Weekly(-ish), we rotate through three segments: Mythbusting (common beliefs, put to the test), Astro Oddities (quirky/vintage hardware that still slaps?), and 3D-Printed Tech (prints that actually help under the stars). You’ll see smart scopes (SeeStar), first-rig builds (Z61 + trackers), DSLR vs cooled OSC face-offs, EQ mode, wedges, guiding, filters, and simple, beginner-level processing—with the WHY explained as we go. Small update on the Dwarf Mini x SIRIL Script . Im working with some of the best script/tool creators in the SIRIL space to make updates to the script, specifically for MAC OS. Im sorry I didnt test it well enough with mac before. I dont own one (ill be buying a used one this weekend probably), but someone with much more experience has made some changes to the code specifically for mac. Expect that to be released this weekend. These are the datapoints im testing, but its looking really interesting.

I need some beta testers for the Dwarf Mini One Click Siril Script.
This script will
*automatically take the calibration frames your Dwarf Mini generates, and create masters of each
*Present you the option to select the target you want to pre process
*Allow you to select the image rejection rate based on FWHM (Basically dont stack blurry frames)
*Apply the correct calibration frames (did you use the Duo band, thats a different set of flats than the astro) AUToMAGICALLY
*registers and stacks all of the images that pass the test
*Spits out a linear (Unstretched) master stack file that you can then go to town on, stretching, denoising, etc.
