The ancient Greek lyre at the United Nations 🕊️🌍
From small beginnings to global stages — one step at a time.

On June 10, 2025, the sound of the ancient Greek lyre will echo for the first time at the UN Headquarters in New York.

As part of the international event “Dialogue Among Civilizations in a Changing World,” Theodoros Koumartzis will perform with a LUTHIEROS lyre, lovingly handcrafted in Greece for this special occasion — representing Greece among a select group of internationally acclaimed artists.

This historic moment celebrates not only cultural dialogue but also the modern revival of ancient Greek music — led by the Koumartzis family through initiatives like LUTHIEROS Music Instruments, the SEIKILO Ancient Music Museum, the LyreAcademy, and the SEIKILO Ancient World Music Channel.

A milestone for cultural heritage.
A voice from the past at the heart of global diplomacy.

Theodoros will remain in New York until June 12, with a carefully curated series of private events already scheduled. One final slot may be available — if you’re interested in organizing something special, contact us at info@luthieros.com!
