Hello friends! Happy Sunday! Here is Sunday's verse. 😊 Well folks! The "ber" months start in less than 24 hours. Have you started fall decorating? If not, what are you waiting for? 😁

My fall dining room video came out today and I love how it turned out. It was my first time officially decorating my dining room with my new dining table set. So that was exciting to me. 😊
I don't have a lot of time today, so I hope you won't mind if I keep it brief.

Please remember to pray for all of the families affected by the recent school shooting. Such a tragedy! I truly believe that in this day and age, schools need more security. There's no excuse not to. I had better leave it at that. It just hurts my heart to see such violence directed at children.

I finally got my new dining bench stained this past week. I think it turned out pretty nice.
My fall dining room video will be coming out next, and I am pretty excited to share these new changes with you.

I hope you're doing well. Fall is just around the bend. I love the change of seasons. My favorite season is always whatever is next. 😁 I suppose then that I live in the right state. I just wish that winter was only the month of December and not 3- 4 months long in Wisconsin. 🙃

Speaking of December, would you believe that Hobby Lobby already has their Christmas decor 50% off?! (trees included) And yes, they must overprice things in the beginning for the purpose of marking them on "sale." Oh well, it's still fun to look- and honestly, almost all of the stores do that. When I worked at Walmart (many years ago) We would get brand new racks of clothes each morning and would (often) have to re sticker the "rollback" price on those new items before even putting them out on the sales floor. I don't know if Walmart even calls it "rollback" prices anymore. I'm probably dating myself. Lol.
But anyway, I'd like to get to Hobby Lobby to see the Christmas decor. I need some gingerbread people for certain. My gingerbread village was a bit underpopulated last Christmas. Lol

Hello friends! Happy Sunday! Here is Sunday's verse. I hope you are having a blessed weekend!
Rain, rain, go away. Come again some other day. Wisconsin has been hit with so much rain this weekend that they had to cancel the rest of the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee due to flooding. The weather has been so unpredictable, but I think it goes in waves.

Some years, during a really crazy rainfall, the lower (culvert) part of our front yard becomes a raging river of water - even covering our lower driveway. It usually only lasts for a few hours, and then it's gone just as fast. We have had quite a bit of rain lately, and it thundered a bit through the night, but no rivers in our front yard yet. I don't mind it, though. It's kind of exciting. Lol

Thank you for the prayers for my dad. He has to have about a month of radiation treatments, and hopefully, that will knock out the cancer completely.

As always, feel free to write prayer requests below, or simply write the word "unspoken" to keep it private. God knows the request.

I do want to encourage you not to let anyone steal your joy today and to look for beauty in the littlest blessings...the singing birds, the sunshine, a tomato fresh from the garden, a purring kitty or a sweet lap dog, the smell of fresh baked bread, beautiful music and even the ears to hear it. How much more rich our lives would be if we would make a habit of tuning out the bad and noticing the simple and lovely things that are often right in front of us in the moment. And how much less anxious we might be, too!

Mindset is key to making life bearable along with the remembrance of this verse in my post "All things work together for good to those who love the Lord..." (Romans 8:28) Some leave out the second half of that verse (to those who love the Lord) and by doing so, twist Scripture and tell a lie. I pray that you are one who loves the Lord, and if not, that you will seek the Lord Jesus Christ - the only one who can bring true hope, peace, joy and purpose to life. Don't let Satan or anyone else steal your joy today. Lay hold of it through faith and trust in Christ!

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

(EDIT) I compiled a Marathon video last night and this morning and uploaded it this afternoon. It is live now. I still hope to have a kitchen video out this week as well. Fingers crossed! 🍁

I am looking forward to fall baking. 🍪 We've had a few cooler days already (lately), which has made the perfect weather for baking banana bread and cookies. That said, I have at least one more thing I'd like to do before the summer is up, and that is to take my son jet skiing. Hopefully, we will have time to do that before the summer wraps up. It's been years since I've been jet skiing. My sister and I did it once and had a blast!

I don't have a whole lot to say today, so I'll keep it brief. But as always, if you have prayer requests that you'd like to share, you can write them below. I'd be honored to pray for you and/ or the request(s) mentioned.

I know I keep mentioning her, but please continue to pray for Angie at the Bumblebee Farmhouse channel. I saw a recent report from her, and she mentioned that her cancer has progressed. She needs a miracle!

Also, please pray for my dad. He will be beginning radiation treatments within the month for prostate cancer. So far, the outlook seems good for him, but, as we know, cancer is a fickle thing, to say the least. My pastor recently mentioned that he is so tired of hearing about cancer. I can honestly say that I wholeheartedly second that thought. Life is so uncertain. It's more important than ever to be right with the Lord and to be in his Word. We never know what a new day will bring.

Good morning friends! It's Thursday and a good reminder to make it a "Thankful Thursday!"
I wanted to share this adorable bunny as well as this encouraging word for us all today...

Practicing gratitude is not something that comes naturally for me. Sometimes it is downright work! I have to remind myself daily so I thought I'd remind you today, too. 😁

One thing I am thankful for is that I managed to have a "successful" garden in my first year of planting one. By successful, I mean that it grew vegetables- and I didn't expect any for my first attempt. That's how little faith I have in my gardening skills. Lol. Sidenote, my one little lonely corn stalk that came up ( I mentioned it a few weeks back) is still growing, but no sign of an ear yet. 🤣

Hello friends! I hope you're having a blessed Sunday! I pulled my fall bins down from the garage and am gearing up to start my fall decorating.
Friday will be August already! Can you believe it?!
I had to laugh at my husband today. He bought Chase (the cat) a water fountain to drink from, because it's so hot. It plugs in and stays cool and percolates. Chase likes moving water (we are trying to break him of drinking from the toilet 🙄)
He stared for a while at it nervously and then my son put some water on his finger to show him and he relaxed and finally drank from it. 😁

Yesterday, I posted a video showing some styling ideas along with some new items that I recently purchased and I just wanted to mention something and it is this: In regards to the "product links" that are in the description, please DON'T feel like you need to buy anything. If you just watch my videos for entertainment, that is completely fine with me! The product links are primarily there for your convenience. Hello friends and Happy Sunday! Today's verse is perhaps a little bit more convicting, but I don't like to cherry pick and leave out parts of Scripture that may be considered "judgemental" by the world. All Scripture is equally relevant!

I'm planning/ hoping to have a video out to you this week. I'll be showing you my new dining table set. And let me tell you (with tongue in cheek) that it was one of those "too good to be true" online deals. 🤪 Who knew I'd have to put so much sweat, time, and tears (okay, I didn't cry- but almost 🤦‍♀️) into a brand new table? I surely didn't! You may be wondering if it worked out. Well, I'll only say that I kept it. (you all might remember how much I absolutely despise returning things) I won't give any more details, but I'll let you wait for the reveal and decide for yourself if the new dining table set was a success or a bust. 🤔

I went decor shopping yesterday at Hobby Lobby. I was specifically shopping for items to make a fall wreath. It is true, that by the time you buy the supplies, it's almost cheaper to buy a pre made wreath, but then it wouldn't be a custom wreath, I suppose...so what's the fun in that. 😉

Hello friends! Happy Sunday! Here is Sunday's verse. The summer is more than half over, and I have spent too much time staying indoors complaining about the heat and the bugs. It probably doesn't come as a big surprise to you that I am not a huge outdoorsy person. If I could spend all my days inside decorating and redecorating, I would. Lol.

That said, I got outside yesterday (mostly) on account of the fact that my internet was ridiculously sloooow and causing my youtube video to freeze up mid upload. My son, being the tech- ier one (he's 12 🙃) suggested I hike up the trail behind the house where there's a hill and see if it might upload better up there. So off I went. Next thing I know, my husband is following me in his old tractor, wondering what I'm up to. Lol. So I went to the top of the hill, found a rock, and set my phone on it, hoping a raccoon or squirrel wouldn't walk away with it. 😁 (after I create a video, I send it to my main phone for faster upload)

While waiting for my phone to upload yesterday's video, I found some really wonderful black raspberries and a couple of red ones, too. It was refreshing getting out in the fresh air. I checked on my little garden. I don't have a whole lot in it- but it's my first try, and I just used some seeds I had around the house. I expected nothing to grow as I have very little faith in my gardening abilities, but so far, I have some peas, some squash, zucchini and corn. By corn I mean- singular. Only one stalk grew from the seeds I planted. My husband laughs when I jokingly ask him every day how my corn is doing... as if I have a field of it. It's okay looking, and should grow a cob. Lol. Can't wait to see. I'll keep you posted about my "corn crop."🤪 My green peppers didn't come up at all- which was a bummer. I love fresh green pepper in a salad. I don't know what I did wrong- but as I say, it's my first try at gardening. I used those non hybrid seeds. Maybe that was the problem, or perhaps an animal ate the seeds. ??

This week, I'm challenging myself to spend more time outdoors, and I hope you will find time to as well. It can truly lift a person's mood, and as Anne of Green Gables would say.. "There's so much more scope for the imagination."

I apologize for my babbling on like this, but I have been awake since 1:30 last night as I couldn't go back to sleep. When I start quoting, dear Anne, I know I must be tired and should probably wrap this up. But I made it to church this morning- so that's the main thing.
