My name is Dylan. I'm a now over 30 year old guy (he/him/his) who's trying to get my life in the right direction and I am on the autism spectrum. I was diagnosed with Asperger's in my early 20s. I thought that YouTube would be a good way to get my thoughts out. The internet is one way that I can share without being around a lot of people. Be patient with me. I hope my channel can offer a perspective on daily life through the lens of someone on the autism spectrum. Through my personal vlogs, and discussions I aim to share how I navigate the world and provide insights along the way to help raise awareness and promote understanding.

Please note: I am not an expert and I have no training. Everything I talk about is from my own personal experiences and/or from research I've done on my own time. It should also be noted that Asperger's is an outdated term and is now under the umbrella of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Now my official diagnosis would be Autism Spectrum Disorder.

So I've been (very) slowly learning more about what I can do with this channel and it turns out that I can Community Posts. Kinda weird when I have less than 400 subscribers, but I'm trying it now.
I'm also experimenting with Shorts. I thought I'd made a short out of videos I've uploaded and maybe that can entice people to watch the whole video. I tried that with my latest video where I do a nasal cleaning and... apparently that hasn't happened.

As you can see in the photo, the short has waaaaay more views than the video. No one bothers to click on the link even though I told them to in the short. The short has 6,600 views and nearly all of those views I got in the first half a day that I uploaded, there's a big drop off in views. And the 202 views that the video got? It had already gotten over 100 views before I uploaded the short, which is great since I'm use to my videos getting less than 25 views.

I looked into how people were finding my Short so that I could apply some of those mechanisms to my other videos and get 6K views on them, but as seen in the second photo, it just says people found on the Shorts Feed and no other information.

I guess what I'm saying is I have no idea how YouTube works. If you've watched any of my videos, short or long, at any time, thank you!
