On November 10th 2024 the world's tallest & 2nd fasted roller coaster in the world would shut down forever with 24 years of operation. I wanted to make this post to show and give this ride a proper send off (Cause Six Flags themselves came give it one…)I went on November 9th 2024 to get my last rides and it was a night I'll never forget now cause we didn't know for 100% that KingDa Ka would shut down. Shout out to the rides ops cause they absolutely killed it with operations and trying to get as many trains out as they could to make sure everyone would get a final ride. This ride has been here since I started going to great adventure since 2009 and I always remembered staring up at the big green tower every time we went. This morning on November 14th 2024 Six Flags announced they are investing $1 Billion dollars into their parks over the next 2 years. Six Flags Great Adventure has also officially announced that they are retiring Kingda Ka. Its removal alongside the removal of Twister, The Parachutes will make way for a multi-record breaking launch coaster which will debut in 2026. Green Lantern, the Skyway, & Zumanjaro will also close aswell. RIP to all of these rides. But for one final time, keep your “Arms Down, Head Back… & HOLD ON!”
