My name is Laura [they/she] -- welcome to my channel, Aquamarine18 (named for my birthstone, aquamarine, and the major arcana card associated with my sun sign, Pisces, which is XVIII: The Moon). My channel celebrates reading -- reading cards, reading the stars, reading stories.
Here you'll find divination-related content, including book and deck reviews, walk-throughs, spread designs, tags, and discussions of related topics; 'tarot' is in my channel name but I also work with ogam, oracle, playing cards, geomancy, and astrology, and am ever curious about learning new divinatory systems and approaches. I also love to read and share reviews of the books I've read and thoughts on book related topics -- for fiction, I read mostly contemporary SFF.

Who should I be following on BookTube? I read sci-fi and fantasy most often for fiction and theory/philosophy for non-fiction; I prioritize reading diverse authors in all respects, love a good readathon, and tend to read newer releases but am into finding older books in these genres as well.

In 2022 I shared 2slgbtqia+ decks for Pride, as a VR to Tom Benjamin. I have had a look at my collection and I *definitely* have enough decks acquired between then and now to make a sequel! Part 2 coming later this month. Also -- many of these decks are still available!

Back in 2023, I posted a ramble about feelings; I said, then, "hug decks are important, everything feels hard right now, and staying in analysis mode is a particular kind of labour...". Fast forward to 2025 and here we are, Pride month, and I feel lots of the same. I am fumbling along between exhaustion and resolve. With Moon + Mars in Taurus, I have plenty of stubbornness. I am still thinking toward utopian possibilities.
