Can you guess who of these people is the founder of self-help and a best-selling author of books about self-love, life, and healing?
.
.
.
.
.
The right answer is B. Louise Hay, like everyone else, went through a very thorny path before becoming an influential writer and self-help public figure. Violence in early childhood, leaving home early, constantly changing jobs to make ends meet, giving the child up for adoption did not break this woman. She turned her troubles into her strengths to show us that it is our destructive thoughts about ourselves that are the seeds of our obstacles. Her example proved that a person is much stronger than the circumstances surrounding them.

Fact from Wisey.
Psychologists have long been interested in various human feelings, and guilt among them. Scientists have found that this feeling is often found in people with an increased ability to recognize facial emotions.
In a study published in Cognition and Emotion In 2015, Matt Treeby and colleagues surveyed 363 people (whose average age is 27, mostly students) about how these people would feel in 11 hypothetical negative scenarios.
One of the scenarios described a big mistake on a work project. Among the available answers, the participants chose answers that sounded "I should have recognized the problem and done a better job", which indicated increased guilt. Another response, "I would feel like I wanted to hide," reported a tendency toward shame rather than guilt among survey participants.
After that, the participants were given an online test in which they looked at actors who expressed different emotions on their faces with different intensities. The task of the participants was to correctly label each emotion, like happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, anger or shame.
The scientists concluded that guilt-prone people were more likely to cope with the recognition of different emotions (compared to people who tended to feel shame), and they were more likely to recognize low-intensity emotions. It's unclear to the end does being sensitive to other people's emotions motivates to feel more guilty, or does guilt cause a person to pay more attention to other people's emotions.
However, it's still quite an interesting finding that supports the theory that people who feel guilty tend to be more psychologically adjusted, avoid antisocial behavior, and have good relationship skills.

By the way, here is an interesting Wisey fact for you. Researchers at Oakland University proved that comparing yourself to others is a vicious cycle; when you do it, you experience envy, and the more envious you get, the worse you feel about yourself, and thus the lower your self-confidence becomes.
Sounds simple and clear, doesn’t it? Have you ever felt envious of your friends' or co-workers' achievements? Feel free to share your experience with us in the comments section.

Which description do you think best describes the term “identity capital”?
.
.
.
.
.
The right answer is all three. This term was coined by the author and psychologist Meg Jay in her bestseller book “The defining decade” where she pointed to the idea that starting from the age of 20 until 30, seventy percent of people have the lifetime wage growth exactly in this period. It’s true, but if you are already over 30 it is not the end, because age is just a number.

Hey-hey, Wisey fact of the day has arrived at your station!
Today you will learn how to control your time!
Have you ever noticed that an hour flies so fast, and you don’t understand, where you spent it?
If you want to manage, like a superhero Quicksilver, almost a second just ... give your brain something new!
If you take in a lot of information, the brain needs more than an hour to process it, and the longer this process lasts, the more time seems to flow slower.
If for some time, we work on more familiar material, everything seems to be exactly the opposite - an hour flies by almost imperceptibly, so as not to apply special mental efforts.
