MFF vlog will be a bit delayed. And in a different way than I usually do them. My asthma and sinus condition plus the dry cold equaled me losing my voice. It’s still not entirely back but getting better. So I’ll have a lot of voice overs after the fact. But hopefully it’ll still be enjoyable! Now to edit my backlog of plush shorts and con prep vlog! Thank you so much for watching my video on Seaquestria Fest. Here’s some pictures I have from the con and ocean city itself from the years I went. It means a lot that everyone took time to hear about what happened and to show support for the staff. So far it doesn’t look like there’s a resolution. I had hoped maybe my video could fix something or convince something to change. I don’t know. It was unrealistic an expectation but I felt I was uniquely poised to do something so I did what I could. There’s of course things I wasn’t privy to. I highly recommend reading the comments on that video. I didn’t even get to really touch on the AV/tech side of things which was even worse than the art side I knew more about. I wish I had because they took on the brunt of the inaction by the chair and making sure the con ran.

I had a chance here to help. I’ve been asked about covering other con issues. Maybe if there’s something I feel I can do, but I’m not normally involved in things like this. Parsing through this one video was mentally taxing as it’s not my wheelhouse. I also tried to remain as neutral and even as possible despite there being things I wanted to dive more into, I stuck with screenshots and let them do most the talking. I also want to say that I’ve been asked a few times on different platforms to cover things related to mare fair. Sorry. It is incredibly overwhelming to me so I try to stay away from the discourse. I’m not the best person for something like that. It’s good to know your limits. I also don’t plan to do this again if I can help it, though I’m not opposed to doing some more scripted videos like that but about con stuff or sewing stuff! Or maybe other things people are interested in.

I unfortunately have some sad news: I won’t be going to Seaquestria Fest this year as I planned. I was going to be a community guest and run the plush meet and a sewing panel as well as be a vendor, but I’ve been going since February nonstop and it was causing some health issues. So I have to take September and October off from cons. I will be doing November and December cons though! And I’ll still be posting sewing shorts and vlogs here so no worries!

Honestly this small break has already been a relief mentally and physically so I know this was necessary. And it has been really creatively charging for me and I’ve been finishing shop orders and other plush like crazy!

Marionette Plush is unrelated, I just wanted to have a pic on this post so it was more interesting. I just finished her.
