In this video I talk about how I got over the hump of language learning. I felt like "I just suck at language learning" and I know a lot of you guys probably feel the same way. But, that is just not true! We all have it within us to become fluent, even as adult learners, so don't give up!

I wanted to try out a few new things with this video. First, a new camera angle. Second, I wanted to be a little more authentic and speak from the heart instead of reading a script. Hopefully that comes off in the video. Join the discord if you haven't already. discord.gg/Y28P7QSsuA

I've spent a lot of time looking for useful apps for learning Korean, and in this video I talk about all the main apps I use on a daily basis. Don't waste your time like I did, and just check out the ones I mention here! Good luck!

Check out my latest video about subtitles and their utility in language learning. I got the idea for this video from some conversations I had on my language learning discord server. Join here - discord.gg/Y28P7QSsuA

Check out my newest video where I talk about my results from my most recent attempt on the TOPIK exam. My results were definitely not what I expected... I also, talk about what I would change if I were to do it all over again. This video has a bit more of a vlog feel to it, because I filmed it at a 찜질방(Korean bath house), so give it a watch.

My latest video covers the word that I consider to have the best return on investment in making your Korean sound more natural. That word is 그렇다. I remember when I came to Korea, and made Korean friends, I would constantly hear them say the many conjugations of 그렇다. Each one has its own nuance that I was unaware of. After three years living here and countless hours of study, I condensed my understanding of these phrases into this video! Check it out!

In my newest video I talk about what I think is the best piece of content to watch when learning Korean or Japanese. I feel that it is important to study with content that is culturally relavent and uses everyday language. This show fits both criteria. If you're interested in reading a blog post about the same subject, check out the blog I wrote last week on my NAVER blog: blog.naver.com/ashemon/224163043843

Check out my new short. A lot more work went into it than my typical short, but it was really fun to make. The idea behind it was "what does the ideal language learning day look like?". Not sure if I had the Ideal day, but I tried my best. I mention my blog post in the video, check it out here: blog.naver.com/ashemon/224163043843

My newest video takes the insights I gained from James Clear(the author of Atomic Habits)'s appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast. I read James' book many years ago and found it useful almost immediately. I even mentioned it in my previous video about how to learn Korean with K-Dramas. Although the book and podcast don't emphasize language learning very much, I felt it important for someone to directly apply those lessons. Check out the my video, the podcast, and the book as well if you get the chance.
