I’ve been working on another type of escapement to control a rotisserie spit. This one is called a Crown Wheel or Verge Escapement. Notice how the direction of the teeth near my left thumb is the opposite of the direction near my right thumb. This all comes in to play once it’s operational. The project is only about 1/3rd of the way done. Looking forward to taking this camping! 😁

Wow, I never expected millions of views on my Short, "Never Manually Turn your Spit Again!" So many of the comments are hilarious! Love it! I think I already have the best audience in the antiquated 15th Century Rotisserie business! 🤣 There were a few comments like, "Nobody in suburbia has that space" and "hello realtor? I need at least an acre because I have a chicken spit." 🤣 Well, here's a pic showing that it can be set up in a postage-stamp sized backyard! Too bad I don't have a tree though... hmmm...that has me thinkin... 🤔
