Hello! I know a lot of you are in to Star Wars (probably all of you, except that one guy who comments "Star Wars is Dead" on most of the videos, lol) - but if you're in to Behind the Scenes stories from OTHER movies, please go and Subscribe to my other channel MOVIE YAK youtube.com/@MovieYak
Also if you're on Facebook please go and Follow / Like the Facebook page (even if you don't use Facebook that much, please Follow / Like the page anyway 😆) www.facebook.com/MovieYakOfficial
Filming the practical Probe Droid model (Finse, Norway, March 1979) for The Empire Strikes Back. This is when you had to set up a physical track for something like this to move, no need for that today (and no need to physically build the model or even travel to the snow in Norway).
***ALERT - Regarding A.I. *** The latest video of Sir Alec Guinness telling a story about meeting a young Star Wars fan, is not A.I. It is really Sir Alec Guinness, it is a clip of him reading from his book "A Positively Final Appearance". He recorded a number of audiobooks before his death. It can be found online or purchased on Audio CD.
A behind the scenes photograph of the crew member (wearing a "Revenge of the Jedi" cap) used as a stand-in for the scene where Darth Vader inspects Luke Skywalker's new lightsaber in Return of the Jedi. Only his hands are filmed. Richard Marquand directing him.
Pickup shot in Death Valley / Mojave Desert, US. (Ron Nathan as Obi-Wan and Peter Kuran as C-3PO) for Star Wars (later, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope).
