Starting April 2026, I will be walking the length of Britain from the very bottom of England (Land's End) to the top of Scotland (John O'Groats). The walk is called Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG). This is a "create-your-own route" walk and it is about 1200 miles and it will take about 3 months. Planning the route is so exciting!! I'll be walking through south west England which I've never been, Wales, the midlands, northern England and the length of Scotland.
I'll be walking with a friend and hopefully everything will go well and we won't annoy each other too much. 😅
If you have done LEJOG and have a route recommendations where to go or not to go, please post in the comment.

Tentative route:
- South West Coast Path
- Offa's Dyke Path
- Going to Iron Bridge
- Pennine Way (for the 3rd time yay!)
- Scottish National Trail to Blair Atholl
- East Highland Trail through the Cairngorms
- John O'Groats Trail

After that, Ben and Bobo will come for another 3 months and we will be traveling around England to different villages to get a feel of what living in the UK is like.

I am currently in Jakarta, Indonesia tending to my mum's recovery from a heart surgery. She needs me!

Hiker Sheep & Bobo

Almost time to go back on trail to finish the last 50 miles (Tyndrum to Ben Nevis) of the Northern Trek after an amazing time in North Yorkshire visiting a friend, met some more new people, played tennis in Hackness Tennis Club and went to my favorite play "Pride and Prejudice" in Scarborough. Now thinking of my adventure the last 3 months in Great Britain....how can i get back to my life in Dallas?? Howww???
I feel sooo fortunate to be able to have the freedom to spend so much time in the land that I love so much. And to have a spouse and Bobo the dog who are very supportive in me following my heart and my dreams of moving to the UK. Now I know where we are going to buy a home here next year....North Yorkshire.
Now... I'm gonna cry from happiness overload.
PS: I am now wearing a pair of new Hoka Challenger

Sorry for not being able to post videos the past few days. As I am going through more remote and longer sections between towns, I am trying to save my battery and cannot edit and upload everyday. But I will as soon as I can. :)
Here are a few pictures. For more pictures, check out my instagram: sheep_and_bobo

10 days to go!! Britain I'm coming!!! I have spent hours and hours learning basic Welsh Cymraeg. I am now confident that my upcoming videos of the Cambrian Way and Offa's Dyke Path in Wales will have the BEST correct pronunciation of Welsh words and places. The English youtubers butchered most words .. hehe 😄 I find that the language is phonetically consistent unlike English. My Welsh pronunciation is pretty much spot on now. 😃
Today, I started packing slowly and treated my clothes, backpack, shoes and the doors of my tent with permethrin tick repellent. I sprayed the doors of my tent in hopes to repel midges from hovering around. I hope!

28 DAYS TO GO FOR MY 2025 EPIC UK BACKPACKING ADVENTURE!!!

The first trail to tackle in Cambrian Way in Wales. I start in less than a month (late April). My first times backpacking in Wales. It traverses Wales for 300 miles from Cardiff Castle near the south coast to Conwy Castle on the north coast and is purposely routed over the highest upland and mountainous terrain including the Black Mountains, Central Beacons and Black Mountain (all within the Brecon Beacons National Park), the Cambrian Mountains, Cadair Idris, and Snowdon.
I give myself 22 days to finish before I start my next trail. I look forward to the challenge, the solitude and share some pictures and videos with you guys.

Time goes so slowly!! After revising my 2025 UK trip plan many times, I have now finalized my plan:

Late April - May 16:
Start hiking on the CAMBRIAN WAY. A 298 miles mountain route from Cardiff (south Wales) to Conwy (north Wales). This trail passes over many of the highest and most scenic areas of Wales.

May 17:
Start hiking the OFFA'S DYKE PATH. 177 miles route from south to northern Wales again but on the lower route on the border of England and Wales. I'll be walking with 3 strange dudes. 😄

Late May:
Last but not least, Ill be hiking the newly-devised route, THE NORTHERN TREK. A 560-mile route from Chatsworth House in Derbyshire to the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland, through the Pennine Way (that I recently did in Oct/Nov 2024), 4 national parks and 4 UNESCO world heritage sites. I will be the first person who is thru-hiking this route with the support of the founder himself, Mr. Ken Heptonstall, who will be walking with me for the first 2 days. Ben will join me around mid-June when I reach Edinburgh. I am very excited to introduce this trek through my eyes and videos on my youtube channel: HIKER SHEEP & BOBO.

Well, I am back in the States from my family reunion in Indonesia. Still on Asia time, naturally I was asleep all day and awake all night. 😳😵‍💫
By 5am, I impulsively bought a plane ticket to Edinburgh. 😄 Leaving in 12 days for 3 weeks! Completely unplanned. I better get my gear ready for rain, unpredictable weather and colder temp. Oh....and what and where to hike??? I think im gonna do the Pennine Way. What do you think?
Ill be solo this time cause Benderam is injured from his fall in Indonesia. 😒
