OMG Charade Maniacs is getting a fandisk 😭🫶
Even though it had mixed reactions in the West, it’s pretty well-loved in Japan, so I’m really glad it’s getting an FD!
Haiji wait for me 😫💖

Has a character ever reminded you so much of someone from real life that it changed how you felt about their route?

For me, it’s Hibiki in 9 R.I.P. He's a great character, but he reminds me a lot of someone I used to know (both personality-wise and appearance-wise), so my feelings toward him were a bit… complicated 😂

It’s interesting how emotional dynamics can be so different in fiction compared to real life. Themes like difficulty accepting oneself or fear of abandonment can be compelling in stories, but when you’ve experienced similar dynamics in real relationships, they often feel more fragile and harder to navigate, even when both people care.

I really sympathized with Lucas in this scene 😅 That desire to escape pain hits hard. Sometimes numbness feels safer, even though feeling pain is part of being human.

Mozu used to be my favorite, but after finishing Bustafellows Season 2, Helvetica stole the spot. I barely liked him in the first game, but the sequel ended up changing my mind 💀

My top 10 favorites from 10 different games 🌌

Most are locked or spoiler-heavy routes.
I tend to like characters who seem calm or mischievous on the surface, but carry secrets or contradictions behind a facade. Those kinds of layers and duality draw me in 🌗🤭

In no particular order because I don’t want to rank them lol
😈 Allan (Cupid Parasite)
🩸 Minami (9 R.I.P.)
🪽 Misyr (Cafe Enchante)
🧩 Shiraishi (Collar x Malice)
⌛️ Saint (Code: Realize)
🪞 Alice (Taisho x Alice)
🗝 Lupin (London Detective Mysteria)
🎭 Haiji (Charade Maniacs)
🐈‍⬛ Kuroyuki (Nightshade)
👓 707 (Mystic Messenger)

I went to K-BOOKS Ikebukuro Otome Pavilion to “just look”.
15 minutes later, my wallet achieved enlightenment through emptiness 🥲

A friend once told me she usually ends up loving the least popular characters, and it makes her feel kind of lonely in fandom spaces. But honestly, I think there’s something special about that. 💭

Since not many people talk about them, your connection feels more personal - like you understand them in ways others don’t. It’s not about them being better than the popular ones; it just feels like they belong a little more to you. It becomes part of what shapes your individuality and how you connect to stories in your own way.

It hits even harder when you meet someone else who loves that character too. Because even when you feel different, you’re never truly alone in what you felt.

There are many times when I have the complete opposite opinion of the majority (not just otome games but other things like anime, manga, manhwa, etc) so now I just read reviews for fun/for factual information and form my own opinion after experience it directly, rather than being overly influenced by other people's perspectives 😂
