This statement built Ridgeside K9 and had been on the wall since day 1. I have built everything in this business based on this principle.

The psychology behind this revolves around the idea that effective communication is not solely about the quantity of words but rather the quality and clarity of the message conveyed.

When dog trainers and owners speak excessively, they may introduce unnecessary information, contributing to confusion for the dog owner / handler. Too many details or convoluted explanations can overwhelm the recipient, making it challenging to extract the essential meaning. On the contrary, concise communication, characterized by brevity and focus, allows for a clearer and more easily digestible message. By carefully selecting words and avoiding unnecessary elaboration, dog trainers can enhance the impact of their communication.

Moreover, the concept emphasizes the importance of active listening/observing and thoughtful engagement in communication. When individuals choose their words wisely and express themselves with purpose, they invite others to participate in the dialogue by interpreting and absorbing the information. Ridgeside K9 HQ - Modern Dog Training & VLOGS

Thank you to my beloved Marine Corps!!! Everything successful in my life can be linked back to my time in the Marine Corps.

A simple country kid, broken home, poor, grew up very fast, barely graduated, surrounded by problems, the day I started boot camp I had a suspended license, etc etc. The Marine Corps didn't care. They take you as you are. And there it began!

I had a history and baggage, but work ethic wasn't an issue. Boot camp was fun, SOI was like an extended camping trip, Fleet was amazing, and I traveled the world many times. Learned hard lessons about accountability and attention to detail. As a young man, I learned the reality of combat, death, destruction, danger, and yes, love. Love that makes grown men, seasoned killers, fall to the ground crying.. Seen it, learned from it, and embraced it.

The Marine Corps kept on giving life lessons and support far after my service ended. From 100% combat disabled, free education at The George Washington University, houses purchased, medical for life, etc. Nothing promised, nothing given, and I am deeply grateful to the lessons the Marine Corps taught me as a young man.

Lessons that made hard days as a cop seem like a vacation. Lessons that make dangerous situations seem calm. Lessons that make small business fall-out seem trivial. Lessons that imprint service to others. Lessons that you never forget and years later whisper guidance in your ear during critical situations.

Forever grateful to my beloved Marine Corps.
