Yesterday(21st Dec) is Winter Solstice Day in Chinese Lunar Calendar, it is a very important day which marks the end of the four seasons and the end of our hard work for the year. Every Winter solstice, people get together with family. People in the north like to eat dumplings on this day to prevent frozen ears. People in the south like to eat Tangyuan, which symbolizes reunion and completeness. During the longest night of the year, Winter Solstice lights up a warm lamp for us to come home.
