Hey everyone!

As 2027 is creeping up on us, I'm revisiting how I'm running this channel.

As you might know, I have "members only / patreon only" Daily Linux News video.

I'm thinking of making them fully public in 2027, no longer just audio but with the same style as the weekly news videos (my face + screenshots of the article I'm discussing).

My question is: are you interested in that, and if yes, would you prefer having these on this channel, or moved to a new separate "Daily News" channel, to avoid bloating the entire subscription feed with a video every day.

A few details:
- Whatever the decision is, the Weekly News video would still be there, for people who don't want to watch stuff daily.
- That doesn't mean the other "non news videos" are going away either, I'll keep making one per week.
- These videos are 7-12 minutes long, depending on what's happening on a day to day basis

The reasoning behind it:
- Members-only video are probably spamming subscription feeds, and I keep getting comments saying the channel is paywalled now (which it isn't, but I can understand why people would think that)
- Making these videos public and more visual doesn't add much to my current workload
- In terms of sustainability, a side channel that gets 10-20K views per day is probably more profitable than making these members only, at least in the long run (probably not in the short term)


Let me know what you think by voting below! Patreons and members seem pretty much onboard with that already, but I'd like to know what the entire audience thinks :)

UPDATE: NOW FIXED, I have access to the account and have published the daily stuff :D

To all Patreon members, I have (hopefully) temporarily lost access to my account and will not be able to post Daily News shows or Patroncast episodes there until their support team helps me access the account.

Long story short, I switched to another 2FA app to ditch Authy, and in the process, accidentally clicked on "disable Google Login" instead of "logout", which seems to have messed up the way Patreon linked my Member account and my Creator account. Now, logging in using my email address only gives me a blank member account (not even the one where I have my own memberships), without an way to re-link the creator account either.

Hopefully this is fixed soon, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. For Youtube members, no issues, you'll get your stuff as normal!

CORRECTION FOR THE LATEST NEWS VIDEO:
Looks like Denmark is not in fact moving to Linux right now.
The original interview given by the Danish Ministry for Digitization said that they planned to move to Linux, but this apparently was a misunderstanding between the Ministry and the outlet.

They've since corrected the article, they're moving to just LibreOffice, but not Linux, at least not in the near future.

Thanks to the eagle eyed viewers who alerted me on this, and found the correction.

I moved to Google Forms for this one, as Nextcloud Forms didn't let me split things into sections depending on a previous answer. Still no personal data collected on my end.

As always, I'll make a video about the results, to see whether desktop defaults are sane, or if people always change them :)

Share it widely to make sure it's as representative as possible, you can also maybe send it to other Youtubers and creators you know, so their community can answer (they can get access to the results as well if they want to talk about them, of course, they're always made public on these polls).
