AU/Gem prospecting Australia . I like to make my own equipment, as I can and have the ability to do so. Also I can not spend a lot on it. This channel was started 17/12/23. After being prompted by other Australian YouTube content makers said I should. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others. I hope you enjoy the ride. Some GOLD, Jems and Aussie Opal will be here. Sometimes as with prospecting, no gold. But still life is like that.

The date of the 1st Poverty Prospecting Australia creek catch up will be on Sunday the 18th of January. Subject to weather and the availability of water. It will be limited to 10 participants ( couples and kids count as 1)

You must be a subscriber, either in Victoria or willing to travel to the Melbourne area.
It will be held in a creek in the Caledonian goldfields. 75km northeast of Melbourne GPO.
Get in quick. First in best dressed.
Details will be given via email, close to the date.
Bring your own equipment, your Victorian miners right, water, and lunch. It is expected to go for 5 hours 10 am - 3pm.
Cross your fingers for water in the creek and good weather.

I received some mail today from my old mate "Crouch" the living legend ( the surfing prospector) . It was a thank you for the "Gutter trash clean-up sluice " , I made it for him out of rubbish I had found on the side of the road.
You do not need to spend a lot of money to find a lot of gold, sure it has to be in the dirt.
But a simple sluice can catch it.
I received from Crouch a microphone set up for me to use on my videos for my channel.
For that, I thank you "Crouch"

Hi Everyone, I have had a great response to the subscribers' catch-up enquiry. At this stage it is coming down to dates and location.
I would like some feedback on early January, say the 10th or possibly the 17th weekends.
I have 10 people who have expressed an interest in attending. 🤯😵💫.
So now , it is just finding a date.

I am hoping for it to be in the Caledonian goldfield. Northwest of Melbourne CBD by 75km.

Hi Everyone, I am thinking of trying to organise an impromptu sub day meet-up in a Melbourne Creek for 5 subscribers. You must be in Victoria, subscribed, have a Vic miners right , and able bodied enough to walk into a creek ( not too far) and be up for a fun day. Bring your own lunch, water, and equipment. No guarantee of gold , but guaranteed fun. Plus a channel sticker!

Hi Guy's and Girl's,
I had the privilege to meet one of my subscribers yesterday. A younger one ( a lot younger), a 15 year old young man called Jamie. Too young to drive , so it was his whole family. It was loverly to meet you all.
Jamie has an interest in fossils and rocks. So, we met at a local park and went to my local fossil patch, high up in the mountains.
The whole family had a ball and found some famtasic fossils, 1 had 3 excellent starfish in the same rock!
It was so nice to meet someone so young with a passion that is not device driven. Good luck in your chosen career.
As a thank you, he gave me some of his rock collection!
Below are some thunder eggs, peridot, and a bag of small gemstone.
