tried to make some tempura shrimp recently. didnt seem to hard, right?

soy sauce packet exploded, got burnt on the oil, AND the shrimp itself wasn't even that worth it

needless to say, I should not be trusted with such meals

A brand new Incredible Items Beginnings short will be dropping on Halloween, aptly titled: "Halloween". We'll have some characters dressing up for the occasion!

PTTR 3 is still being worked on, I'm just having a lot of second thoughts on where we want it to go and the stuff that happens in it

I haven't been really proud of the script at all after so many rewrites, and I'm unsure what to even do at this point LOL

I ask you all to still have patience

Apologies for the severe lack of uploads recently. I actually started up on some college work (doing some accelerated summer classes to get a head start) and that’s taken up a ton of my time.

Rest assured that I am still alive and well! Everything’s getting a buncha progress done (especially FOLDED) and I hope I can start uploading some more stuff soon. :)

Hi, everyone! I wanted to make a semi-long community post outlining some information about FOLDED - specifically, the game's release date and its progress. Before you panic, the game is far from cancelled - we actually made a bit of progress yesterday, believe it or not! I just want to talk about the current state of it and why it didn't release last year.

FOLDED is a game that, in all honesty, I was expecting to quickly make in about a month or two, then move on to another project. However, the immense amount of support from friends, family, and all of you guys has really made me want to turn the game into something special. It's my first big game release after all, why not make it the best I can?

Due to this, however, we were not able to reach the 2024 date as we initially promised and had hoped. This is due to a lot of things, which I'll outline here in detail:

1. We didn't want to give 100% of our focus on FOLDED. Incredible Items Beginnings and Proceed to the Route are (or, were, in IIB's case) projects that I love(d) to make, and I know all of you enjoy it just as much. To put them on an indefinite hiatus and basically have no content that you subscribed for would really just make me feel guilty. If I was a viewer, I'd be pretty upset myself.

2. We expanded the scope of FOLDED by a ton. The game was originally meant to be about <30 bite-sized/one-screen platforming challenges, and that was it. You'd open the game, play through it in about 15 minutes, then clock out. However, due to the support of all of you (like I outlined way above), we wanted to make it bigger and better. Adding more stages, a real story, some extra content, and more were planned out, and thus, development was extended by a long while. This also brings up my third point:

3. We didn't want to fall into the "release the game, finish it later" strategy. A lot of modern games have been trying to increase a game's longevity by releasing it in a very simple state, and then adding the rest of the planned features as time goes on. We originally had that idea after increasing the scope of the game (#2), but we wanted a full, finished product at the end of the day. Sure, we could have released a finished Story I last year, then released Story II as a free update, but the game would feel largely incomplete, and it'd feel like something was missing.

4. I am, essentially, the game's sole developer. I am in charge of programming, graphics, music, and everything else that makes FOLDED... well, FOLDED. Everyone else on the team is a playtester, and they help give feedback on what I should add and/or change. Due to this, development is not as speedy as an AAA company, and I can really only focus on the game as much as I can.

With all of this in mind, we had to delay FOLDED's development from it's 2024 release, and push it back... basically indefinitely? We are aiming for the end of 2025, but I would not count on it completely. And with this, I apologize for not talking about it beforehand, but I hope you all understand our goal for FOLDED.

We are working hard on both PTTR 3 and FOLDED at the same time, and we promise that when FOLDED releases, it'll be a game that... hopefully should be worth the wait. This current build that was sent to playtesters completely finalized the first portion of the game, as well as future plans, and I have heard nothing but positivity for its controls and gameplay (aside from a few bugs, of course).

tl;dr - FOLDED didn't release last year due to wanting to make it the best we could. There's no direct release date yet.

Thank you all for your understanding, and I promise we'll do the best to deliver!! :)
