Tonight was spent soldering. I started with the additional feeder wires needed to get all the tracks powered on the newly laid area. But instead of hooking up the feeder wires, I continued my soldering adventure. Maybe my layout will have signals.

Printed out version 1 of the car cards for the HCJX SwitchLab (Timesaver switching puzzle). Now I just need to cut them out and do 100 other things.

I am very fortunate to know an absolutely amazing custom painter. He really knocked it out of the park with the latest series of cars which included a tribute car. The front track are all custom painted cars with the commercially available tribute cars in the back.

I just went back and looked it up. My first ever operations session ever was on December 4th, 2022. I am not talking about the first session on my layout, but my first ops session on any layout.

December 4th 2022 was 2 years, 10 months and 19 days ago, which is 1,054 days.

How did I end up so far down the rabbit hole so quickly? And I am loving every minute of it.
