Hey everyone… I just wanted to come on here real quick and give you all an update. First of all, I’m really sorry for not uploading every day like I usually do. I know some of you look forward to my content, and it means a lot to me that you support the channel.

The truth is, I’ve been dealing with tonsillitis. I’m really not feeling well, and it’s been draining all my energy. My throat hurts, I’m tired all the time, and honestly I just haven’t been in the right state to record or edit anything.

I hate letting you guys down, but right now I really need to focus on getting better. I hope you can understand. I’ll definitely be back as soon as my energy comes back and I’m feeling okay again — I just don’t want to force myself and end up making my health worse.

Duterte's administration implemented a nationwide crackdown on illegal drugs, leading to over 6,200 officially recorded deaths. However, human rights organizations estimate the actual death toll to be between 12,000 and 30,000, citing numerous extrajudicial killings. Duterte consistently defended the campaign, asserting that the fatalities were a consequence of legitimate law enforcement actions.

ICC Investigation and Jurisdiction

The Philippines ratified the Rome Statute, the treaty establishing the ICC, on August 30, 2011, making it effective from November 1, 2011. In September 2021, the ICC authorized a formal investigation into the alleged crimes against humanity during Duterte's anti-drug campaign. The investigation proceeded despite the Philippine government's initial refusal to cooperate, citing sovereignty concerns. However, the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. later indicated compliance with international obligations, leading to Duterte's arrest upon his return to Manila.
