Welcome! In August 2021 our family bought 140 acres off the grid in Australia. We called it Chimney Creek Farm and we are transitioning to a more self-sufficient lifestyle. My name is Tina and I enjoy making handmade products botanically based and inspired by nature. Returning to a simpler lifestyle, learning to live with the cycles of nature and cultivating gratefulness, less dependence, more responsibility, reconnection with nature and the love of our planet - living more sustainably is not only for our own good, but for the good of the planet and for civilization. Thank you for joining us here.
Chimney Creek Farm
A quiet summer day on our off-grid farm…
There’s compost and mulch fighting the Australian heat, cherry tomatoes picked straight from the vine, carrot seeds saved for the future, and a shed slowly taking shape brick by brick.
There’s also a painting on the door of our new solar power station — and if you’ve watched 'Back to The Future', you might recognise it before it’s finished.
Add birdsong, flowers, simple food, and the slow rhythm of off-grid life, and you’ll get a sense of how our days unfold out here.
The new video is up now if you feel like slowing down for a while 🌿

Chimney Creek Farm
Our new video is full of real summer life on the land — towering sunflowers, runaway zucchini, brave little chicks, and the steady work of tending to a place in the heat. There’s sand shoveling, seed saving, a bit of painting in the shade, and moments of quiet beauty too.
We’re not experts — just learning as we go. If you’re looking for something gentle, real, and grounded in the rhythms of the season, we hope this feels like a place to exhale. https://youtu.be/3EFdRTBiAa4
Let us know what life is looking like in your part of the world. And as always — thank you for being here.

We’ve just shared a new video 🌾 It’s a quiet summer one — a few garden lessons, young Isa Brown chicks, a black snake passing through, and some honest reflections. If you feel like sitting with something calm for a while, you’re welcome to join us. https://youtu.be/Oe4i3gtW_g0
Hope the day is kind to you 🤍

We’ve been flat out this week — harvesting, planting, building, and chasing a chicken pen across the paddock after a big wind. Some wins, some mess, and many jars of pickled radish to show for it. If you feel like slowing down and spending some time with us on the farm, the new video is up now: https://youtu.be/8R0B8Q8D8pM
It’s not perfect, no-dig gardening, off-grid life, and a few quiet moments that made it all worth it. 🌱 Hope you enjoy it.

Chimney Creek Farm
We’re not experts. Just a little off-grid farm in Australia, doing our best to grow what we eat, cook with what we have, and live close to the land. This past week has been full — peas past their prime, zucchinis ready to harvest, lamb shanks slow-cooked over the fire, and my dad visiting. I even made my mum’s veggie frittas… and it tasted like home.
The garden is shifting. Summer’s almost here. Everything feels a little wild and in-between.
If you’ve got a quiet moment, I’d love to share it with you.
Come sit with us in the garden awhile.

We’ve just shared a new video from life on our off-grid farm 🌿
It shows how we set up our outdoor spa and built a simple temporary deck — nothing fancy, just learning as we go.
If you feel like watching, we’d love for you to check it out.
Thanks to everyone who supports and follows along. https://youtu.be/An9nDjNFaA0

We had a quiet day in the kitchen last week, turning our homegrown gramma into sweet pickles. It’s a simple recipe from the Ball preserving book — nothing fancy, just good, honest food put up for the months ahead.
If you’ve got a gramma or pumpkin sitting on the bench and you’re not sure what to do with it, I filmed the whole process step by step. Maybe it’ll give you some ideas, or just keep you company while you work in your own kitchen.
You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/9RX6lOHGW5E
Thanks for joining us here — it means a lot.

After a few years of trial and quiet tending, the garden is starting to give back.
The parsley’s gone to flower, the first poppies have opened, and the trees are slowly filling out with green. We’ve been saving seeds, building chicken coops, mulching trees, and watching the storms roll in.
It’s not perfect, but it’s ours—and it’s growing.
If you feel like slowing down for a while, we’ve shared a new video from our off-grid homestead. Come have a cuppa with us in the garden.
