Warriorside is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by retired Navy SEAL Diego Ugalde, informed by his understanding of the need for radical interventions to solve suicidality and PTSD in veteran and first responder communities, due to debilitating disconnection after service. Research consistently shows that the highest risk factor for suicide among veterans and first responders is not the trauma sustained in the line of duty—it is the loss of identity, purpose, and community once the uniform comes off. Warriorside exists to address that problem directly. Through a structured, trauma-informed, embodied approach to conscious storytelling,Warriorside trains veterans and first responders to reconnect with themselves, rebuild authentic human connection, and learn how to safely embody, and communicate their lived experience in a way that is healing for both the speaker and the community that receives their story. Thank you for being a part of this story. Don't hesitate to be in touch.
