Story1: The House on the Edge of the Forest
In a small village surrounded by a dense forest, there was an old abandoned house on the far edge of the woods. No one dared approach it for years because everyone heard strange sounds coming from it at night—whispers, crying, and sometimes the creaking of doors as if they were moving on their own.
One stormy night, a young girl named Laila decided she would explore the house. She was brave, but she didn’t believe the stories circulating in the village. She took a small flashlight and began walking through the forest, the trees swaying in the wind as if watching her steps.
After half an hour, she reached the house. The front door was slightly ajar, as if someone had left it open in a hurry. She pushed the door slowly, and its creak echoed with her footsteps. Inside, the main room was covered in dust and broken furniture scattered around, and on the wall was an old portrait of a family that no longer existed.
Suddenly, Laila felt a cold draft pass behind her. She turned and saw a small door in the corner opening and closing on its own. Cautiously, she approached the door and opened it to find stairs leading down to a dark basement. Every step she took creaked, filling the place with echoing sounds.
When she reached the basement, she felt something watching her from the darkness. She tried to turn on the flashlight, but it flickered and then went out completely. In a sudden silence, she heard a clear whisper:
"You’re here… why did you come?"
Laila trembled and tried to escape, but the door she had descended through had disappeared, as if swallowed by the wall. She tried to scream, but no sound came out, as if the air itself had absorbed it. In the darkness, shadows began to move around her—faceless figures slowly approaching.
In a moment of despair, she remembered reading about the house the previous night in an old library book: "Whoever enters the house alone will never leave… unless they confront the first shadow and call it by name."
Summoning her courage, she spoke the name she had found in the book, her voice trembling:
"Marcus…"
Suddenly, the shadows vanished, and the stair door swung open with a sudden force. Laila ran without stopping, and when she exited the house, there was no sign of the storm or the dense forest… everything was calm, as if the house had never existed.
But when she looked at her flashlight, she found a message etched into the glass:
"We’ll see you again, Laila…"
STORY 2: "The House on the Edge of the Forest –
The Full Horror Version"
In a remote village, there was a house at the edge of the forest that no one dared approach. Legends said it trapped the souls of those who entered, feeding on fear, twisting reality until it claimed them forever.
One stormy night, a daring girl named Laila decided she had to see the house for herself. She carried a small flashlight, her only source of comfort. The wind howled through the forest, bending trees and carrying whispers—her name, stretched and distorted in the dark. Every snapping branch sounded like footsteps following her.
When she reached the house, the front door creaked open on its own, a slow, deliberate invitation. Inside, she found shattered furniture, walls scratched with strange symbols, and an eerie, suffocating dust that smelled like old decay. On the wall, a faded portrait of a family stared at her—their faces grotesquely twisted, eyes hollow.
Suddenly, the house seemed alive. Doors slammed shut around her, shadows stretched along the walls, and the temperature dropped sharply. From somewhere above, she heard footsteps on the attic floor. The stairs didn’t exist. The footsteps grew louder, circling, following.
Heart racing, she discovered a hidden door to the basement. Cold air rushed out, carrying faint whispers:
"Why are you here? You don’t belong…"
The basement was deeper than it should have been, extending into darkness that seemed to have weight. Shadows crawled along the walls, moving with a life of their own. One tall, faceless figure approached her slowly. Her mind screamed to run, but her legs were frozen.
She remembered the ancient book she had read in the library: "Call the first shadow by its name, or you will be claimed."
Shaking, she whispered:
"Marcus…"
Time froze. The shadows vanished, the door to the stairs appeared. Laila ran as fast as she could, the forest outside strangely silent. But when she looked back, the house was no longer visible, replaced by a misty void.
That night, Laila returned home, but sleep didn’t come. Every shadow in her room moved unnaturally. The wind whispered, carrying words that weren’t meant for the living:
"We are inside you now… you cannot hide."
Days passed. Mirrors reflected figures behind her, always silent, faceless. At night, the whispers grew louder, closer, and the shadows began to reach toward her from every corner. She realized the house had never been a place—it was a curse, a living entity, and now it lived inside her.
Even miles away, the stormy nights brought the house closer. Whispers under her door, shadows crawling across her ceiling, and every reflection in glass held that same glowing message:
"We’ll see you again, Laila… and next time, you won’t run."
And Laila understood: some doors, once opened, never truly close.
