2025 Year in Review

I’ve decided to do a blog post instead of a video this year due to a massive lack of content I’ve put out in 2025. I could talk about all the things I planned to do and the reasons I didn’t do them but I’ll focus on the positives instead.

Just three Scarlet Crochet videos this year! Not what I wanted but I’m proud of the Pokemon that got crocheted, there were some difficult projects in there and I think the videos turned out pretty well. I will say that I have crocheted the whole line for the next video, it’s just a matter of editing the video over the coming weeks. I’d love to pick up the pace over 2026 and try to get that series finished up. Wrist problems, motivation, and accidentally becoming important at work really hit me hard with not just my crochet but all my other content too.

Speaking of, shiny hunting was fun if sparse this year. I didn’t manage to fill out my bingo card that much but I got to take part in a few shiny hunting events like Safari and Fossil Week as well as a DA Weekend. I really like making the videos for those and hope to make shiny videos outside of events this year.
I’d like to keep those unhunted Pokemon in my 2026 bingo board because I’d still love to go for them but I’m adding a lot more to it. I think I can now unveil what I’m planning and have been slowly working on; I’d like to hunt Bulbasaur in every possibly game or generation. In games where he’s not catchable, I’ll trade one over and egg hunt. This could become tedious and long but I do have some ready to cross out already.

In terms of my art, I’m really happy with the reactions I’ve been getting towards it since I’ve started drawing the NPC Pokemon in Lumiose City. Keep sending me your suggestions on who I should draw next, I would like to get around to doing a lot more! I’ve also been enjoying making my little slice of life Psyduck comics. I’ve included some of my favourite pieces from this year below.

Outside of all of this, I have been working on other projects. I have like half the footage for a video where I’m looking at the partner Pokemon of Kanto; what each trainer has on their team and who is the most popular partner. I’ve recorded Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold/Silver, and Fire Red/Leaf Green and just need to finish Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Crystal, and Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. I hope this video will be interesting enough because it’s something I’ve like working on.

So my plans for 2026:
- Finish the Scarlet Crochet Badge Quest
- More shiny hunting videos outside of events
- Continue with my Lumiose art project
- Release the Partner Pokemon Project
