Hello my name is Chris and I will be posting videos about the cool stuff I see out in the field of HVACR. A little bit about my self, I've been involved in the trade for over 20 years and I will tell you right now that I do not know it all, this trade is constantly evolving and new technology is coming out every day. I am based out of Southern California and I mainly work in restaurants. If you have any questions or even suggestions for videos please don't hesitate to email me at HVACRVIDEOS@GMAIL.COM.

THANK YOU
A few weeks ago, I made a post thanking everyone for almost being at 200K subscribers on my YouTube channel HVACR Videos. I never expected it and am kind of ashamed that minutes after I made that post, I crossed the 200K subscribers milestone.
I have never been one to E-beg, and I hope that post did not come across to anyone that way ! I’ve always disliked when creators use their platform to E-beg. It’s just not something I personally like seeing, so I try as hard as I can to not do that myself.
The truth is, this channel and my YouTube videos purely came out of desperation. Back in 2017, our company, JVS Refrigeration, hit a roadblock and lost several employees in a very short amount of time, likely due to us hyper-focusing on the business and losing sight of our employees’ needs. But life happened, and we found ourselves hiring several new “experienced” service techs in a short amount of time. That was another big mistake of ours, but that is a story for another day……. But a happy accident from that experience was filming my own service calls. I started filming them because the new experienced techs were getting paid way too much per hour to shadow me like apprentices, and I found myself telling my service call war stories to our crew in our early morning meetings at the office, which stole precious time from our workday. But me telling them those stories was not the same as them getting to visually see the calls. So I started filming my calls, explaining to our service techs how I approached problems and leading them by example. Initially, the videos were never meant for the general public, but eventually, I hit the public button, and here we are now with over 200K subscribers and over 62 million video views. To say I am humbled and thankful to all of you that have watched my videos is an understatement. THANK YOU!
I also want to acknowledge and thank my existing channel partners, Parker Sporlan, Refrigeration Technologies, and Heatcraft Refrigeration, having channel partners like the three of them really does make it easier for me, and they truly are amazing companies to work with. I can honestly say I’m proud to be associated with them. I will be totally honest: the channel has grown out of control, and my own exceptions to interact and provide quality, honest, real content have made this channel very overwhelming for me. But I’m trying my best and exploring all options to maintain my sanity. I’ve even hit the delete button on my entire YouTube channel once before when I was really frustrated, and that is how I learned that Google makes you really think twice about deleting your channel.
Running multiple businesses is not for the weak and is not something I’d advise for people that want to have a normal family life. As usual, I went off on a tangent, but I feel that being honest with all of you makes me feel less like a fraud . Anyways, thanks so much to all of you for the support.
CHRIS

If you’re wandering around the Inland Empire and happen to stumble across this sticker, congratulations—you’ve found something almost nobody was looking for. Take a picture with yourself in front of it (proof you were really there, not just creeping on Google Images) make a post on social media and tag @hvacrwife and I in it . I’ll pick a few of you at random and send a merch item of your choice from what we have in inventory. Think of it as a reward for wasting your time efficiently

Im curious what you all are using to hold your phones in your vans and trucks? I am always looking for a better solution to my existing cup holder mount. Post your pics (email them if you can’t post) and let us all know what the brand and model are of your mounts. Personally I’m not wanting to drill any holes so I’m looking for nicer cup holder mounts and or adhesive mounts. My current mount is a truck stop special and I have no idea what brand or model it is.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, it blows my mind how ridiculously low the pay is for HVACR instructors. Yeah, sure—there are plenty of washed-up techs who couldn’t hack it in the field and ended up teaching, but there are also some seriously solid educators out there. And it’s just sad how little they’re paid. The fact that their students are out there making more money than them within 6 months to a year? That’s wild.
Even knowing all that, I still catch myself daydreaming about teaching full-time and walking away from the contracting grind. But let’s be real—I couldn’t support my family or keep living the lifestyle I’ve worked hard to build. So I keep telling myself, maybe I’ll give it a shot when I retire. But by then, I’ll probably just be some irrelevant old dude rambling about the “good ol’ days” while everyone zones out ………. Random thoughts from Chris

I spotted one of my @hvacrvideos stickers randomly yesterday in Ojai, CA. If you find it and snap a selfie with it (you gotta be in the pic), tag @hvacrvideos — first one to do it gets something cool! #hvacrvideos #bigpicture #hvacr #hvacrwife

My life is just pure chaos. Between work, video editing, and general life stuff, I have absolutely no idea where I’m supposed to be or when I’m supposed to be there. (There’s definitely a hearty cocktail of spectrum/ADHD vibes going on in this brain.)
Luckily, Jill (@hvacrwife) is the glue, the compass, and probably the entire operating system of our family. She keeps us all on track—even from 2,100 miles away. She’s been out of town helping family, but still managed to build a full schedule for me so I don’t accidentally leave our kid somewhere like a forgotten HVAC tool bag. She even coordinated backup drivers because, let’s be honest, trusting me with logistics is a gamble at best.
I’m beyond grateful for her, constantly amazed by her, and baffled at how I convinced her to marry me. We miss her big time over here—and I’m definitely ready for her to come home ,preferably with a full recharge and some patience as I’m trying to keep this place clean but I swear I will spend an hour vacuuming and 10 minutes later the dog hair is back 10 times worse, how on earth does she keep it so clean?
