Working on another film score analysis. This one probably won't be ready until next year as I have a full-time job but am enjoying prepping the musical examples and discussion.
My latest video was removed due to a takedown request on 1 December, even though I had received an email from YouTube saying the copyright claim concerned had been released. The issue appears to have been resolved now: copyright strike averted, without the need for a counter notification. Much appreciation to all involved in these types of communication over the past few weeks!
Here (for the second time) is a little video essay on Synthwave.
https://youtu.be/w7W_vpTsb-0?si=SNAOu... New video on SYNTHWAVE now live. This was fun to work on. I uploaded it last month but deliberately kept it private whilst I was liaising with YT regarding copyright ID claims. Thankfully all resolved now with no major issues.
Been working on a lengthy video these past five months or so. It has involved a lot of listening, transcribing, and compiling/editing musical examples. Aiming to get it out later this month - stay tuned! #80s
New video just released on the topic of percussion parts. As a percussionist this video came about due to frequent discussions with colleagues when playing modern compositions & arrangements and what composers can do to make our lives easier. Enjoy!
Just hit 1,000 subscribers! Thank you to all who follow, like and comment.
I have unfortunately had a very busy time recently so haven't been able to post a lot, but am working on another Vine fugue at present when I can find time to do so.

New fugue based on the hold music one hears when calling HMRC.
This is a 3 part fugue in B flat.
[For those not in the UK, HMRC is the name of our tax authority].

Do you have a favourite synthwave artist/band?
