I made the choice to step away from Chalk Couture about two years ago, give or take (time feels a little blurry after everything we’ve walked through), and I’ve come to peace with the fact that I’m not going back.

I do still use the hundreds of stencils and supplies I invested in — and I’ll keep using them until they’re gone, because let’s be real… they’re fun, and I spent a lot on them 🤪

But since stepping away, it’s been a journey. I’ve struggled, questioned myself, and wrestled with whether I made the right choice. Yet God has shown me something beautiful: I don’t need certain products to create art, and I don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars to make something meaningful.

God has been growing me as an artist and strengthening my skills. I’m creating from the heart now — and it feels genuine and free.

Did I lose the eyes on me? Yes.
Did I lose the community I once had? In many ways, yes.
Did it feel like abandonment at times? Absolutely.

But I trust that God has me right where He wants me. He is leading me on a path that shines HIS light — a path where my creativity can draw others closer to Him.

My circle may be smaller now, but wow… it is uplifting, faith-filled, and rooted in truth. I may not have hundreds watching anymore, but the most important eyes are on me — and He sees that I’m following His guidance. What once felt like abandonment, I now see as protection and redirection. He never left — He was guiding me to where I am now. That matters more than anything.

I am so thankful for the Christian friends God has placed in my life in this new season, and for the ones who stayed beside me through the shifting and refining.

This journey isn’t about numbers. It isn’t about chasing growth, popularity, or building a business for the world’s applause. It’s about purpose, obedience, and creating for His glory.

So, for those who have known me a long time and those who are new here…
