Nothing prepares you for the moment you step onto the Giza Plateau and the Pyramids suddenly appear in front of you. They look familiar because we have all grown up seeing them, yet in person they feel impossible. Khufu’s Great Pyramid, Khafre’s Pyramid and the Sphinx were built as tombs and guardians for the pharaohs, and standing next to them you realise how small you really are.

What surprised us most was the atmosphere around them. It is part history lesson, part desert chaos, part real Egyptian life happening all around. Camels, vendors, tourists, dust, heat, laughter, and these ancient giants quietly towering above everything.
We kept staring, trying to take in every angle, because this is one of those rare places that actually lives up to the stories.
