Hi everyone, which video course would you most likely to be interested in?

I’d really like your input! I have lots of paid video course ideas for the future and want to get at least one done this year. There’s a bit more info on each one below. (These are not the final course names btw)

I have more ideas too, these are are just my top picks for now I'm most excited about. If you have ideas of your own, let me know below!!

- Beginner theory - This would be a chance to teach in a step by step format, clear and in depth where each lesson can build upon the last one and you can see how things actually tie together. As always, I like to relate theory to the instrument itself in a way that will directly help us learn!

- Original pieces - I have always struggled to find material for lessons which sounded great but didn’t have something too technical involved at some point. Creating my own original pieces with beginners in my mind seems like the best solution! (Think Yann tierson, Eiunaudi kind of vibe most likely but with my own flavour)This one would be video tutorials, no reading required but with sheet music available for those that wanted it. * These would be aimed at people in the beginner period of learning as opposed to someone who has just started yesterday!

- Basic Chord playing 101 - Covering all the foundational, practical things (and some basic theory) you need to get started playing chord accompaniments with lots of chord progression practice, Rhythms etc. All relatively simple for this one but everything would be taught how to practice not just showing you notes. (possibly more advanced chord playing another time)

Happy New year everyone!

If you’re just starting out, welcome aboard!

Do you have any new year’s resolutions? More practice time perhaps?

If you’ve been learning piano for a little while, whilst it may still feel like you have a mountain to climb, it’s a good time to reflect on what you have achieved so far. If you sit and think about it, I bet there’s plenty things that you can do now with relative ease that once felt impossible. I bet there’s things you can learn now in a fraction of the time it would have take you previously. Achievements in playing piano can often creep up on you gradually and we’re often so busy focused on the next thing that we don’t notice them.

Remember that if you just keep at it, whatever feels difficult today will feel much easier a little way down the road. By that point, you’ll be learning something new or playing at a different level so you’ll forget that you even found it hard today.

Tonnes of exciting things to come on the channel this year so stay tuned!
