In this exclusive members video, I demonstrate some advanced techniques that are especially useful when sketching. A Patreon member asked a question regarding the British artist Norman Ackroyd, who's probably best known for copper plate etching. He was also a prolific sketcher, using watercolour, on location, to make beautifully evocative paintings of the rugged British isles coastline. Using his work as inspiration, I make a sketch of "The Drongs" a sea stack rock formation, in Shetland.
