Happy Merrie Monarch Week! We are celebrating this great week of Hawaiian Culture with a Free Printable Series at our Patreon Site - WAO PELE. The WAO PELE Printable Series will honor Pele, the matron spirit of Volcanoes and Fire, an Akua and presence that is often invoked in chant and dance during Merrie Monarch. Iʻll be dropping a Free Printable every day this week, which will be compiled and available in PDF booklet form on our Keiki Tier at the end of the week. Enjoy these printables and much more free content at: patreon.com/makaiwa

Aloha kākou! Mahalo for the answering the call for those in need on the island of Maui. The global outreach we have witnessed is tremendous. As a local family, we have friends and family on Maui and communicate when appropriate to several community heroes who are aiding the displaced and affected ʻohana on Maui island. We have been alerted to shift any donation efforts towards a community vetted Instagram page - instagram.com/lahaina_ohana_venmo. This Instagram page shares the heartbreaking stories of real affected families as well as their venmo QR code to send direct donations to them. Please consider donating to these families directly at @lahaina_ohana_venmo on INSTAGRAM. Letʻs help Maui as a community to stabilize and eventually rebuild the affected Maui communities of Lahaina, West Maui, and Kula!

Aloha Kākou! We are shocked and beyond saddened to see the devastation of Lāhainā and the other threatened areas of Maui. We are safely based on O’ahu island so mahalo for your thoughts. Maui will need a tremendous and continued aid for a long time. Here are several trusted groups that are accepting and will deliver needed donations if you are as motivated as we are to help. Not to say there arent other certified and legitimate groups that are helping but we definitely trust the following groups to fulfill the aid.
We also follow a great resource of information at @kakoo_haleakala on Instagram; it is an active and seemingly tireless source of critical information of the Maui crisis. Mahalo for your support of our work and are glad to pass along some info and are happy to do more as this crisis develops. #maui #malamamaui #lahaina #kokua
