Here we talk science, electronics, physics, 3D printing, kit building, maths and educational matter.

This is the wave form on the coil from 0V to one side of the coil.
It's what one would expect.

Uncle Duncan's Electronics Shack
Greetings my friends.
The Shack pc has had ram failure, so new and bigger ram has been ordered.
Also it is getting a cpu upgrade.
The parts should be here by the end of next week, the cpu had to be sourced by the retailer I ordered the parts from.
So I am taking a break from content making till the pc is fixed and reliable again.
It is not dead, however running it with bad memory puts it at risk of system files getting corrupted, so I am not using it till it is fixed.
Take care, don't panic, and I will be back for more Shack shenanigans when the pc is fixed.

Uncle Duncan's Electronics Shack
Going to be some speed benchmarks on various processors this weekend.
How long do analog reads take?
How long do floating point calculations take?
And if you just toggle an IO pin, what frequency do you get.
Does having a fast processor make for short analog read times?
How much delay do floating point math operations cause?
It is an interesting one, so keep an eye out for it.
It will not be a short, but a well paced in depth video.
