Welcome to the Yellow-Nose Productions Studio channel!
I post videos of mostly steam powered excursions, some diesel, and some plain railfanning, twice or three times a month, mainly in the Midwest, and I discuss the history of the engines.
Thank you for watching! - Jake

Hello all, hope you’re having a great day!
This weekend I visited two steam locomotive powered excursions: the Fall Foliage train on the Reading and Northern Railroad, and the Frostburg Flyer on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad! I’m beginning work on editing these, so stay tuned! Thanks to my friends @MidnightRailfan and @rails.unlimited for being there with me.

Hey y’all, time for an update.
I just finished the chase of Milwaukee Road 261 in Minnesota, and it went very successfully! I’ll be working on the video which will be up before the end of the week. Have a great day!

Hey y'all! Here's another update since it's been a month since I posted anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pretty soon, I'd like to start posting more commentary/essay style videos, because there's some significant topics I'd like to talk about which have affected me deeply. I appreciated the feedback for the first video like this, called "Some Thoughts I Would Like to Share", that I posted over half a year ago! Recently I've developed an interest in urban planning and how the United States deserves more rail transport for people, and not just because I like it. I also want to talk about the rise of A.I, and the future implications it has for Internet videos like this.
Sticking to my normal type of content, there are a few train excursion events that I'll be traveling to this October, all steam powered. I'll start with Milwaukee Road 261 and the Gourmet Express up in Minneapolis, which will be the farthest I'll travel from home to make a train video! Next month I'll also visit Reading 2102 in Pennsylvania, and Western Maryland 1309 in Maryland. There's also a possibility of seeing NW 611 in Staunton Virginia towards the end of the month. I'm very excited to see these engines and document them, because the majority I have not filmed in over two years, and 261 will be a first for me!
If you enjoy steam, stay tuned, because it's gonna be a busy fall season. Have a great day, wherever you are!

Hey y'all, just an update for the channel.
The fall is about to ramp up with heritage railroad events, so get ready for the busy season! There'll be quite a few videos to come, including steam engine 1702 of the Great Smoky Mountains railroad, which I'll be visiting this August. Stay tuned, and have a great day wherever you are!

Hey everyone!
Today is a special day for many train fans, as it is the 80th Anniversary of Reverend Wilbert Awdry's "Railway Series" books, the series which introduced the world to Thomas the Tank Engine! Now this blue train engine is one of the most well-known in the world, and had a large influence on my childhood, just like many people my age. I've included a photo of my wooden Thomas toy, and there were many like it, but this one was mine.
Happy anniversary to the Railway Series, and may its legacy continue on for many more!

Hey yall!
Lately I’ve been going through my older videos and organizing them and such, and I’m noticing how I could change some things about them and make them better. Would you all be interested in seeing some remastered versions of old videos, with better voiceover and colors? Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Hey yall!
Hope your December is going well. I’ve been working a lot lately so I haven’t had as much time to make videos, and on top of that, some steam engines I was planning on filming this December ended up not running, such as Pere Marquette 1225.
If I do post some new content this month, I’ll probably return to some classic trackside railfanning, especially if snow arrives. I do have at least one compilation video planned, which covers my favorite aspect of the steam locomotive, which I hope you will enjoy!
Since 1225 isn’t running this year, if you want to see some footage of the engine, especially since this year is the 20th anniversary of the Polar Express movie, here’s a link to my video from December 2023 of the engine running!

That’s all for now! Have a good day, and happy holidays!

On this weekend in October (19th-20th) 2024, @jackboy317 and I visited Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum for the Summerville special train! It was amazing to see their steam locomotive, Southern Railway 4501, pull this round trip train 100 miles each day from Chattanooga Tennessee to Summerville Georgia. The weather and the scenery were great, and as always, we snagged some photos and videos along the way! Hope y’all enjoy them. The footage of the trip will be released over two videos, the first being the trip to Summerville, and the second being the return trip!

Hey yall! Time for some good news.
The railroad community has just been told about “America’s Newest Time Machine”, the future restoration of New York Central Railroad’s “Mohawk” steam locomotive number 3001! Read about and donate to the cause here: www.americanloco.org/
In one of my oldest videos, filmed in 2020, where these photos come from, I visited the National New York Central museum in Elkhart Indiana, where engine 3001 sits on static display. The Mohawk has been there since 1984, meaning that since my father grew up in Elkhart, this engine is part of his memory there as well as my own from visiting.
Now in October 2024, the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, the same folks who keep Nickel Plate Road 765 running, have acquired 3001 and plan to restore it to operating condition! Fans of trains of all kinds, as well as anyone who wants to see another blast from the past, join together to help fund the newest steam project!
