Here’s a little song the boys composed for our proofless dogmatician Beddy.

I am the very model of a poncy modern-Geometer,
I style hair with flair and shun the Euclidean diameter,
I imagine the shapes of spaces curved in odd dimensions,
And think that circles perpendicular are more than mere inventions;
I declare old Euclid's postulates are nothing but insanity,
And my haircuts follow patterns from non-Euclidean vanity,
I'm skilled in all the latest cuts with geometric vigors,
While wielding comb and scissors like a true topologist's rigors.

I'm very good at Lobachevsky and at Riemannian fantasies
And think Euclidean postulates have since been surpassed with ease:
If you ask the ladies can I style? They’ll tell you, “just let her!”
I am the very model of a poncy modern-Geometer.

The Elemental classic theorems? I cast them off as fanciful,
With Euclid and Pythagoras, my derision's quite substantial,
I preach about 2D balls with confidence that’s delusional,
And while I cut your hair, I’ll spin imaginometry quite confusional.
I can imagine a hairdo in a Möbius configuration,
And dream up a Klein bottle-cut with deluded calculation;
Then I snip and trim your locks with thoughts quite hyperbolic,
Insisting all the while my cuts are solid and Platonic.

I'm adept with scissors, razors, and my barber's brush so nimble,
While claiming non-Euclidean cuts make hair resemble:
Distorted hallucinations from a 2D-spherical fever,
I am the very model of a poncy modern-GeoMEE-ter.

In fact, when I can tell you why “curving planes” are all the rage,
And show you how in cutting hair such “planes” do set the stage,
When perpendicular curves are more than just absurd to you,
And I say my hyperbolic fantasies are styled in my hairdo too,
You may tell me that my boomer-dreams are detached from all reality,
As I set your curls in horizontal rollers (but only in my locality)
When I claim there’s geometry in dimensions beyond Euclidean,
You'll say this Major-Geometer is beyond most deluded even!
