The Drawing Therapist

For me, charcoal is more than just a medium, it's a tool for meditation and emotional release. My dramatic, intricate charcoal drawings capture the raw intensity of the human experience, offering viewers a profound connection and a moment of quiet introspection.

The Drawing Therapist

Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit unmotivated. Hence the lack of posts here.

As a hyperrealistic artist, I’ve always loved the challenge of creating something that looks real. The hours spent on tiny details, the patience it takes. But with AI making images (and videos) that look mostly perfect in seconds, it’s hard not to feel a little discouraged.

Sometimes it feels like traditional art doesn’t surprise people the way it used to. Still, I try to remind myself why I started because creating by hand means something to me.

AI can make images, but it can’t replace the feeling that comes from making something yourself.

Drawing Tip #1: When drawing realism, don't over accentuate details. They are more subtle than you think. Less is more.
