Berlin DJ and producer Jacob Dilßner aka Wankelmut ranks among the most popular and renowned representatives of electronic music “made in Germany”. Born and raised in East Germany, he made his break in 2012, when his remix for Asaf Avidan’s “One Day / Reckoning Song” soared to #1 in 8 European countries, resulting in over 2 million records sold to date as well as a multitude of Gold and Platinum Awards. His single “My Head Is A Jungle”, feat. Australian singer Emma-Louise, made it to the Top 20 across Europe, peaking at #5 in the UK charts with Mark Kinchen’s (MK) remix in 2014. His radio show can be heard on Germany’s biggest radio station WDR 1Live for almost 4 years now and of course he never forgets his club music roots with releases on Defected, Mother / Superfett and his own label WKLMT. The last few years have been filled with great releases on labels like Universal/Virgin, Spinnin‘, Toolroom, Perfect Havoc and LoudKult. Wankelmut can be seen/heard at many DJ gigs every year.
