The Singapore Night Festival 2026 lit up Bras Basah–Bugis with colour, culture, and community — and one of the most heartfelt highlights took place on 29 August 2026, when the Sacred Heart Choir of St Joseph’s Church (Victoria Street) took centre stage for a luminous hour of music and unity.
This beloved choir, with roots tracing back more than a century, has long been known for its warm blend of liturgical tradition, community spirit, and multicultural repertoire. Over the years, the Sacred Heart Choir has grown into a vibrant ensemble that brings together singers of all ages, united by a shared love for sacred music and service. Their performances often weave together classical hymns, contemporary favourites, and global melodies — a perfect reflection of Singapore’s harmonious diversity.
Last night’s festival showcase was exactly that:
A multicultural celebration featuring sacred classics like For the Beauty of the Earth and If God Is For Us, soulful contemporary pieces such as Lean On Me and Bridge Over Troubled Water, and uplifting favourites like What a Wonderful World and Rainbow Connection.
Held at the historic Church of St Joseph, Victoria Street, the performance filled the sanctuary with warmth, nostalgia, and unity — a beautiful reminder that music continues to be one of the most powerful bridges between cultures and communities.
