Weāre handing things over to Ken Tada today! Heās got something special to share: š
"I donāt usually write the posts here, but today calls for something different, because my beautiful wife's 76th birthday is coming up on October 15th!
Only Jesus could redeem the greatest tragedy of Joniās life and turn it into such a powerful triumph. When 17-year-old Joni had her diving accident over 58 years ago, no one could have imagined how God would use it to shape the best part of His plan for her lifeāand for mine. And now, with her 76th birthday right around the corner, Joni and I both recognize what a miracle each year truly is. To be honest, she never expected to live this long. But God is faithful, and it's time to celebrate!
Joni continues to be an extraordinary example of what it means to trust God through suffering. Every birthday is another victory for Jesus! The older she gets, and the more challenges she faces, the more determined and passionate she becomes. God keeps using her pain to proclaim the hope of the Gospel to people living with disability all over the world. She just doesnāt stop. And I thank God every day that I get to walk this journey beside her.
When you're a quadriplegic, birthdays aren't just milestonesāthey're miracles. And every year I have with Joni is a blessing beyond words. So, letās make her 76th birthday unforgettable by rallying together with encouragement, prayer, and support for Joni and Friends." ā Ken Tada

In all of painās whining, complaining, and arguing, no matter how insistent its accusations, God has a greater answer. His grace is sufficient; his mercy is everlasting, and his love is more than enough for you.Ā

35 years later, Joni Eareckson Tada reflects on the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark piece of legislation that affirmed the dignity and rights of individuals living with disability.
This week on the Joni and Friends Ministry Podcast, weāre honored to welcome back Abigail Brown, a young woman with a powerful story of faith and perseverance.
Abigail has lived with disability since the age of 3. She has dystonia, a neurological condition that makes it difficult for her to speak. But with the help of her communication device, she shares deep wisdom and encouragement rooted in Godās Word.
In this episode, Abigail joins host Stephanie Daniels to talk about what it means to trust God through both physical and spiritual challenges. She shares how she's learned to trust him and get āunstuck,ā finding peace and joy as she rests in Godās sovereign plan.
Abigail also has a special connection with our founder, Joni Eareckson Tada. A few years ago, she visited the International Disability Center and gifted Joni a beautiful painting that features a powerful quote:
āSometimes God allows what he hates to accomplish what he loves.ā
This painting still hangs in Joniās office today as a reminder of Abigailās faith and Godās redemptive work in our suffering.
We invite you to listen on your favorite podcast platform and be inspired by Abigailās story and her unwavering trust in the goodness of God.

With no parents left to care for them, Meera became everything for her little brother, Amul.
Just a teenage girl, she carries 10-year-old Amul, who canāt walk or speak, on her back through Asia's steep mountain trails. She knots the cloth sling holding him with practiced hands, his chin resting quietly on her shoulder. Itās a two-hour walk each way to the hospital. The path is slippery, the bridge narrow... but Meera wonāt let that stop her.
Sheās heard there might be help for children like Amul, the ones who get left behind, the ones who sit on the ground, unseen.
At the Joni and Friends Wheels for the World outreach, Amul receives a custom-fitted wheelchair with a tray. For the first time, he doesnāt have to sit on the floor. He sits tall, playing with his toy truck. Meera watches, quiet but relieved.
This chair is more than mobility. Itās dignity, rest, and hope for both brother and sister.
Because no child should be forgotten. And no sister should have to carry it all alone. š
Maybe you feel paralyzed spiritually. You want to grow closer to Jesus, but life feels more like a carousel than a fast gallop toward the horizon. You feel like youāre stuck going round and round.
Well, itās time to get off the carousel! Grab hold of Philippians 1:6, "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Realize you have a choice: You can either believe it, or not. So, start believing it.
Seriously ask the Holy Spirit to fulfill his promise of completing his work in you. And then, get actively engaged in your own growth. Obey God in the hard things. Persevere when you feel like giving up. Read the Word when you donāt feel like it.
