Darul Qurra and Islamic Research Centre was inaugurated in 2013, with the aim of catering for the educational and spiritual needs of the local community in United Kingdom and further afield. Darul Qurra’s primary work over the last few years has revolved around teaching the Qur’an with correct elocution (Tajweed) from beginner to advance level, Farsi and Arabic Grammar along with its very own, highly-acclaimed and officially-accredited Arabic Phonology Course.

Should we memorise it? Absolutely! Memorising the Quran is a cherished practice of the Sahabah and a beautiful Sunnah. Reciting and memorising the Quran is not just for children aged 5 to 15, but for all Muslims, regardless of age or gender. The Quran is the most important book for every Muslim and should be recited daily.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Dr Ahmad Mustafa Kamil.
He was very active in motivating and identifying young talent for the Glorious Quran. Even though he wasn’t a reciter himself, he was not short in training and motivating youngsters in Maqamaat and Recitation of the Quran.
He was one of the people who helped preserve the heritage of Sheikh Mustafa Ismail Rahimahullah by embedding the love within the hearts of many children throughout the world with this unique style of Recitation.
Many of these youngsters who have benefited from Dr Ahmad’s motivation are today leading reciters around the world.
May Allah the Al Mighty grant forgive any of his shortcomings and grand him Jannah & Elevate his status.
