If you only open the Bible to find one line that matches your current situation… don’t take this the wrong way but you’re not studying Scripture.
You’re collecting quotes.
And quotes don’t disciple you.
Context does.
That’s why Week 1 of Milk to Meat has been simple:
Stop reading the Bible like a quote machine and start reading it like it’s actually saying something.
Here’s the method that fixes it: O.I.A.
Observe — What does it actually say?
Interpret — What did it mean then?
Apply — What must change now?
Jeremiah 29:11 is the perfect example:
One line can comfort you.
But the whole context will form you.

If all religions basically lead to God,
then Christians really are arrogant for saying Jesus is the only way.
But Jesus and the apostles didn’t leave that door open.
📖 John 14:6 –
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
📖 Acts 4:12 –
“There is no other name under heaven
given among men by which we must be saved.”
📖 1 Timothy 2:5 –
“One God and one Mediator between God and men,
the Man Christ Jesus.”
If Jesus is not the only way:
the cross was unnecessary,
Jesus didn’t need to die for our sins,
and salvation rests on our efforts.
But if He is the only way, that’s not arrogance, that’s good news:
God came to us.
Salvation is by grace, not performance.
We have one sure way, and we don’t have to guess.

This weeks video might seem a little morbid but it might be one of the most important questions we can ask - what happens after we die?
This question is really about eternity. Because heaven and hell are real and as Christians, that should impact the way that we live our lives. It should factor in to how we relate to people, how we spend our money, how we do everything! We should live lives that are driven by eternity.
If I'm being honest, this could have been a way longer episode, but I did my best to keep it short and sweet with the idea of encouraging you to prayerfully study your bible on this topic. The idea isn't to scare you. Rather, my prayer is that this video would equip you to have this often hard conversation with family and friends who do not believe in Jesus.

When I meditate on the cross, I can’t help but think it should have been me. My sin deserved judgment. But Jesus stood in my place. He did it willingly, lovingly and completely.
Jesus didn’t go to the cross because He had to. He was not forced. Instead, He did it because He chose to. He knelt in Gethsemane and resolutely decided that you were worth it. That I was worth it. Even though He knew all of our flaws, all of our sins. He still decided to willingly endure the cross for you.
That’s what grace looks like; completely undeserved, unearned and unstoppable.
đź’¬ Save this post as a reminder: the cross was personal.

Where is God when you’re hurting? If you’ve ever asked this question, you’re completely justified in it. It’s a fair question. But let’s start with what God isn’t doing in your suffering.
He is not far away. Not silent. Not indifferent.
He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
He stepped right into our pain through Jesus Christ, who is the Man of Sorrows, knowing suffering firsthand. No other religion or philosophy can claim that its God completely understands our suffering.
And one day, He will wipe away every tear (Revelation 21:4).
Until that day, I want to encourage you to hold on to this truth:
✨ His presence is with you.
✨ His promise still stands.
✨ Your pain will not have the last word.
