So, I uploaded a video from Club Car Wash in Sterling that I filmed last year, and there was a critical error in the editing of the video. There was a still shot of me sitting at the vacuums towards the beginning, when it should have been me pulling into the property. I did not notice until I already uploaded the video and edited two others, so now I have to go back and edit the entire video all over again. I apologize for the delay.
This channel has been hit with yet another setback. CapCut is now only allowing me to export three videos per week without their stupid watermark, and if I want to export more, I now have to pay them $12 per month to do that. I am not forking over any money to that stupid company, meaning our rate of getting videos out is now going to slow down dramatically thanks to their greedy and self-centered piles of garbage, and I don't think it will be possible to get completely caught up before the start of the new academic year because of those selfish bums. This means we will likely remain behind on content for the long term once again.
From this point onward, EAS content will be released without an intro. I don't necessarily see the point in having the intro there, since I update clips in intros every few months, and if I did this with EAS, they'd pretty much look the exact same anyway.
Surprise premiere! Was going to make this public tomorrow, but I need to get all this content out, so I'm releasing it a day early. Premieres at 4:00 PM CDT!
I am beginning to realize the scale of everything I have lost as a result of my phone crashing. I lost every single photo and video from between August 30 and now. This also means that my video from walking the Las Vegas strip (12/30) will also need to be scrapped.
On top of this, I lost images needed for sports vlog thumbnails, starting around January. This means that those thumbnails will need to be completely redesigned to accommodate this.
This is definitely the biggest obstacle the BHV channel has faced, and one that I am beginning to think we might not recover from. The scale of this incident is more apparent now, and with how far behind I am on content, it may honestly be best to just scrap all videos from the past eight months and look towards the future.
I can't remain eight months behind on content forever, and this incident may have sprung permanent change onto this channel.
With the footage for Indiana Beach, Rockies vs. Diamondbacks (6/21), and Six Flags Great America gone forever, we all know that I am unable to make those videos. However, over the last few hours, I have been thinking how to make it up to you guys.
And I thought of ways to do that. 1. I will return to Indiana Beach later this year, likely in late August. The experience I had in June was not the greatest, so my hope is that it goes better this time around. Plus, I did not get enough footage to supplement the video enough. 2. Instead of just the Rockies home run clip, I will be posting all three of them from that game, including the two hit by the Diamondbacks. However, the clips I have are shortened to where there is no replay after the home runs are hit. Despite that, it's the least I can do. On top of that, I will vlog from a Quad Cities River Bandits game to help supplement the loss of the Rockies game vlog. 3. Six Flags Great America will have to wait until 2026. It is expensive to make a trip there when you factor in parking and food, and I don't think I have the space in the calendar to make another trip. I promise that I will return next summer and make a vlog that's even better than the one I was supposed to put out this year.
I had videos from three vlogs stored on my phone. Those videos were from Indiana Beach, the Rockies vs. Diamondbacks game (6/21), and Six Flags Great America. However, overnight last night, my phone encountered a problem where it did not start up at all for whatever reason. And because I did not have those backed up anywhere, I have lost all of the footage from those three places.
I apologize dearly, but I will have to scrap those videos entirely. The only clips I have are of the home runs from that Rockies game, so I will upload those at a later date as consolation for this major inconvenience.
I will definitely be revisiting Indiana Beach and Six Flags Great America at later dates and filming more videos from those parks. As tough as this development is, the BHV channel can and will recover from this.
I'm finally back to doing more consistent uploads as we transition into the summer! I just uploaded two of my 2024 EAS videos to get back into it, and I will try to get fully caught up this summer. Here is the schedule for this week (all times CT)
Tue 5/20, 3:00 PM: Illini Football vs. Michigan Fri 5/23, 12:00 PM: Railfanning Erie & Sterling Fri 5/23, 3:00 PM: Railfanning Savanna Sun 5/25, 10:00 AM: Illini Football vs. Minnesota
